| Our tour guide Paula was excellent. She knew her history, was friendly and answered questions asked. If I would take friends or family on this tour I would only go if Paula was the tour guide. We enjoyed the pizza, my favorite was the L&B Spumoni pizza. All of us would vote that Paula be made the tour guide for this tour. We enjoyed seeing and learning about the things included. We would certainly recommend this tour. Paula made it interesting and fun. | ||||||

| This tour was fantastic! I’ve taken Tony’s pizza tour, but this time he was joined by Big Rick, another tried and true Brooklynite. Both he and Tony are as Brooklyn as it gets. The bus was a large, comfortable coach bus. As the tour starts, Tony gives a brief overview of the Dyker Heights area that you're about to visit, as well as a short clip from the PBS documentary about the area so you can familiarize yourself with what you're going to see. On the way into Brooklyn, Tony and Rick point things out from the bus as well review the history of the areas. I loved seeing the Brooklyn Bridge lit up at at night! The Christmas music that's played on the bus is awesome. Tony has managed to pick songs from the 1940's, 1950's and on that aren't the usual songs you hear on the radio every year. Songs by Kay Starr, Peggy Lee, the Salsoul Orchestra and even theme songs from Chrsitmas TV shows like Charlie Brown and Rudolph. I and a few others asked Tony if he sells the cds, which he doesn't...but he should. They're that good! We also visited the Bay Ridge section where we saw Sam Maloof's(sp?) house. WOW! I can honestly say it's one of the most spectacularly decorated homes anywhere! The family who owns the house actually came out and greeted us and were so nice. They answered all our questions like how long it took to decorate, how many lights, etc. Whenever we got off the bus, Tony and Rick escorted us around and continued explaning and answering questions. Then it was on to Dyker Heights where we got off the bus once again and walked around for about 45 minutes in an area that can only be described as a true Winter Wonderland. An area made up of incredibly large homes trying to outdo each other in a friendly holiday competition. We had plenty of opportunities in both areas to take lots of photos by the way. We then headed over to Mona Lisa Bakery where we sat down and had pastries and cappuccinos. It was the perfect stop after walking around in the cold weather seeing the lights. After reading some of the other reviews on here before posting mine, I think there must have been some real "Scrooges" who took the tour because I loved Mona Lisa and so did the people all around me. Sure, it took a little while to get served, but we arrived with about 50 people! The staff was friendly and we never felt rushed. The place even had a brick oven, so some people ordered brick oven pizzas which they said were fantastic! On the way back to Manhattan after Mona Lisa, we got to watch parts of old Christmas TV specials from throughout the decades on the monitors like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Sonny & Cher. I felt like a little kid again seeing these vintage specials and reminiscing of Christmases past. All in all a magical night and a tour that I will recommend to all my friends and family and quite possibly take again next year. Thanks again Tony and Rick...great job you guys! | ||||||

| The Christmas light displays were awesome - not only in Dyker Heights, but in Bay Ridge, also. I saw a lot of red lights in Bay Ridge (my favorite color). It was also nice stopping off in the Mona Lisa Pastry Shop. I would recommend this tour. | ||||||

| My wife and I heartly recommend this tour. The lights and home decorations were excellent and the backgroung and history of the more interestingly decorated homes made the tour even more interesting. Bring your camera as you will have a chance to get out and walk around the areas of two of the best examples of Christmas Lights of Brooklyn. | ||||||

| Not as much Brooklyn info on this tour as on the pizza tour, but this more than satisfies the objective of seeing the famous Dyker Heights (and Bay Ridge) lights. It's an easy and relaxing holiday treat. Plenty of time to walk around, take photos. The Mona Lisa Pastry Shop and Cafe is a very nice way to end the evening. The best cannoli I've ever had. And the Italian Hot Toddy will become my new favorite wintertime drink! Driving back to Manhattan after a very satisfying evening, we watched clips from some classic Christmas films and listened to Christmas music. Bing and Frank sang The Christmas Song as I looked out at the Statue of Liberty to my left and the white, green, and red top of the Empire State Building to my right. Priceless. Thank you Tony. | ||||||

| This was a gift to my mother. She'd never been to Brooklyn before, and this was the perfect way for her to see it. Tony was enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. The only downside was Mona Lisa bakery--the service was slow. | ||||||

| I very much enjoyed the Brooklyn lights tour! The only suggestion I'd make is that we stayed too long at the bakery during the last hour of the tour. Marry Christmas! Thanks again for the tour. | ||||||

| I've always wanted to see Brooklyn in greater detail, but I never desired driving though it myself. When I heard about this tour, I thought it would be perfect and it was. Maria, our tour guide, was full of information, and Danny, our driver, was so calm, cool, and collected on the roads that we forgot we were in a metropolitan area.. Whether you are interested in history, Italian-American culture, pop culture, or plain old sight-seeing, there was something for everyone. The stops at two very different pizza places kept everyone happy along the way. Plus, there were several stops along the way where we could all stretch our legs, snap some pictures, and take it all in. It was a well-balanced tour with the not too much of any one thing, but just enough of all the right ingredients (likewise for the pizza!) Thank you! | ||||||

| I had read about the slice of Brooklyn Pizza tour online on trip advisor. After reading the reviews on here I thought I sounded like a great way to learn about pizza and sightsee. Paula was our great host on this trip and i found her to be very knowledgable and funny. The best thing about the tour was being able to bypass the line of people waiting for pizza and head straight to your table reserved for you. As you travelled along Paula told you about the history you were passing and showed video clips from movies that were filmed there. Along the way you were able to get off the bus and take photos. The day we took the tour was a very cold day so it was a great way to spend the day on a bus and eating pizza in warm pizza places. This tour is a great way to see Brooklyn. | ||||||

| My wife and I had a great time. Paula did a great job although I would have preferred Tony as the tour guide as his Italian authenticity is what I was expecting. Overall The pizza and the tour of Brooklyn was great. I would have never experienced the history and all the celebrities that came from Brooklyn if it wasn't for this tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends and I am looking forward to the new Mob Tour when I return to New York. 2 Thumbs up!!!! George and Antonella Ioannou | ||||||

| Whilst the lights were excellent our overall oppinion of the tour was dissapointing as the organisation on the bus left a lot to be desired the onboard information and entertainment was not working properly. We think the bus driver must have been new to the job as all did not go to plan, which was obvious as Tony had to keep telling him what to do. The end of the eveing at Mona Lisa was awful Tony needs to look for a better place it was drab and busy. What we ordered was not available . The stop would appear to be a waste of time( at this place) Things were too rushed, Tony and his mate were both very firendly tho. For the money not worth it sorry. | ||||||

| Paula was our tour guide on this slushy, cold, winter day. It was a small group but she made us all feel at home. She was very knowledgable and the driver Danny had everything timed just right as she was talking about a specific topic he would be driving by. Paula also threw in some personal stories that really made the tour feel like you might just be stopping by to see mom. We had a blast and will highly recommend this tour. Oh, and the pizza was amazing - the bus was split 50/50 on which place they liked better. We did not eat dinner that night!!!! | ||||||
