Hot pizza on a very cold day

| I had read about the slice of Brooklyn Pizza tour online on trip advisor. After reading the reviews on here I thought I sounded like a great way to learn about pizza and sightsee. Paula was our great host on this trip and i found her to be very knowledgable and funny. The best thing about the tour was being able to bypass the line of people waiting for pizza and head straight to your table reserved for you. As you travelled along Paula told you about the history you were passing and showed video clips from movies that were filmed there. Along the way you were able to get off the bus and take photos. The day we took the tour was a very cold day so it was a great way to spend the day on a bus and eating pizza in warm pizza places. This tour is a great way to see Brooklyn. | ||||||

| My wife and I had a great time. Paula did a great job although I would have preferred Tony as the tour guide as his Italian authenticity is what I was expecting. Overall The pizza and the tour of Brooklyn was great. I would have never experienced the history and all the celebrities that came from Brooklyn if it wasn't for this tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends and I am looking forward to the new Mob Tour when I return to New York. 2 Thumbs up!!!! George and Antonella Ioannou | ||||||

| We especially enjoyed the thin crust pizza from Grimaldi's at the beginning of the tour. Touring all the different neighborhoods of Brooklyn was interesting and the tour guide Paula provided excellent and informative commentary. | ||||||

| Whilst the lights were excellent our overall oppinion of the tour was dissapointing as the organisation on the bus left a lot to be desired the onboard information and entertainment was not working properly. We think the bus driver must have been new to the job as all did not go to plan, which was obvious as Tony had to keep telling him what to do. The end of the eveing at Mona Lisa was awful Tony needs to look for a better place it was drab and busy. What we ordered was not available . The stop would appear to be a waste of time( at this place) Things were too rushed, Tony and his mate were both very firendly tho. For the money not worth it sorry. | ||||||

| Paula was our tour guide on this slushy, cold, winter day. It was a small group but she made us all feel at home. She was very knowledgable and the driver Danny had everything timed just right as she was talking about a specific topic he would be driving by. Paula also threw in some personal stories that really made the tour feel like you might just be stopping by to see mom. We had a blast and will highly recommend this tour. Oh, and the pizza was amazing - the bus was split 50/50 on which place they liked better. We did not eat dinner that night!!!! | ||||||

| This tour was very well organised and a great way to see the holiday lights in Brooklyn. We were lucky enought to have snow on the evening of our tour so it was very magical! Highly recommended! | ||||||

| Oh boy!! It was cold. The night sky was heavy with impending snow. The waiting bus was clean, warm, and welcoming. The hosts were personable, enthusiastic , and overflowing with Christmas spirit. The decorated homes set a tone of over the top cheer and bright, positive feeling. In a phrase- it was a wonderful night. Whoever put in the order for snow to accompany the walking segment should be awarded a holiday award for atmosphere. We loved the trip! | ||||||

| Pizza and tour was very good. Our tour guide, Paula, was very good too. However, I thought the trip was slightly overpriced. You were limited to how much pizza you could eat and I felt somwhat rushed out of the restaurants. | ||||||

| We've been on the slice of pizza tour in April 2008, when Tony informed us about the christmas light tour. So the first thing I said to my boyfriend was "we need to came back to New York around christmas time!" and so we did. I need to confess that at first I was a bite disapointed when we heard that Tony wasn't our gide that evening, instead Rick did the tour. Which of course was also very good and much fun! We really enjoyed the tour and where surprised how many houses are decorated! We had snow that day, so it was even more beautiful! | ||||||

| The tour guide was not waiting on the street carrying the "A Slice of Brooklyn' clipboard. If you do need to call the emergency contact number, leave a message, then call back because they don't call you. It was unfortunate that it was a rainy evening because the windows of the bus fogged up and didn't clear up right away. Bring some paper towels because they don't have anything for you to wipe the windows. Once you're on the bus the tour is nice. You receive some interesting information about Brooklyn and see some great "stuff." (Stuff = lights) | ||||||

| The tour was well organized, on time & fun. The only bad thing is that the weather was terrible for sightseeing -in or out of the mini-bus. If only the windows would have de-fogged better. Paula (our guide) however was not to be defeated and carried on enthusiastically. Danny, the driver navigated the slippery roads like a pro. Walking thru 4" of snow on Coney Islands board walk would not be something I'd do again, great pictures though. The pizza at both locations was as good as it gets, and there plenty to eat- and leftover. She said at the beginning that a large group had cancelled so the only thing I wonder is if there would have been the same amount of pizza, which would have stretched it thin. Overall a solid "10" with a 5 handicap for the snow. | ||||||

| Although the weather was not perfect, the tour was. Paula was excellent; very charming ( and easy to look at), and very knowledgeable. The tour made us want to come back to Brooklyn, and not just for the pizza, but that would be a necessary start. My wife, dressed in all black, on a snow covered Coney Island Boardwalk ,made a piece of art. We loved it and so will you. Steven and Rachel Binegar Versailles, Ky | ||||||

| The Brooklyn Lites Tour was very enjoyable. The neigborhood descriptions and personal stories were great and provided a wondeful context for the presentation of the residential lite displays. Would recommend the tour to others who enjoy learning about community and neighborhood leaders and histories. | ||||||
