Tony was a great guide and is unlike any other tour guide you've ever met! He is enthusiastic but not over the top (like many tour guides) and makes the tour very run and relaxing....The tour becomes a full brooklyn tour vs. just pizza, although the pizza is also very good. I highly recommend his tour!

I loved the Brooklyn Pizza Tour. Tony is a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide. I learned a great deal about Brooklyn. I enjoyed being shown film clips that were filmed in the various neighborhoods that we visited. The pizza - neapolitan at Grimaldi's and sicilian at L&B Spumoni Gardens- was some of the best pizza I have ever had.

A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour

The tour exceeded our expectations. The tour guide was excellent and gave us new and interesting information about Brooklyn. Both pizza stops were excellent. L&B Spumoni Gardens brought back fond childhood memories for my wife. We highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The pizza tour is educational, both of the pizza places are excellent and unique. Paula our tour guide, was very knowledgeable, informative, personable, and encouraged the tour to ask questions. I really enjoyed how the tour would show clips of movies and then we would see where the movie scene actually took place. I saw several nice neighborhoods, row houses and apartment buildings, but then I wondered where all of those people work, it appeared there are more places to live than there are places to work. Years ago in the 1970's, I was at Pratt Institute and that neighborhood and Brooklyn as a whole seemed run down and unsafe. However, this tour showed parts of Brooklyn that appear to be a very nice place to live and raise a family. Overall the 4-1/2 hour tour went by very fast and we highly recommend it, and we are considering other tours. The tour is well worth the money and time, was a pleasure, thank you very much.

Great Time

I have wanted to go on the Brooklyn Pizza tour ever since I read about it in the NY Times over 2 years ago. Every time I have been in NYC it has either been sold out or I have been in NYC on days that it was not offered. I went on the tour the weekend of July 17. It was a great time. Tony is funny, knows all about Brooklyn and the four 1/2 hours went by like 30 minutes. The pizza stops are great , but seeing Brooklyn though Tony with his use of video, is so much fun. I have not stopped talking about this tour with friends. So, FORGETABOUTIT, and book this tour as soon as you can!!

Tony is a natural as a tour guide - he really makes the trip. The tour never dragged or was ever boring. The trip is very well laid out and Tony really knows Brooklyn. The picture taking opportunities are breath taking. The pizza experiences are well placed and both pizzas were very good. It was a pleasure being with someone (Tony) that still gets excited even though he has probably done the trip many times. He is truly a guy that loves his job and his business. You will not be disappointed! Gary & Kathy in Connecticut.

We not only enjoyed some Great Pizza, but we experienced many great Brooklyn locations. Being from NJ, we typically visit Manhattan, but this tour was certainly just as enjoyable and a bit less hectic.....Thank you to our tour guide, Paula....Bravo

Fun experience which gave a good overview of Brooklyn. The pizza tasting was enjoyable and there was a sufficient amount to eat and compare two different styles of Pizza. The guide was friendly and reasonably knowledgeable.

This was a fantastic tour. Our first trip to Brooklyn was a memorable one as out tour guide Paula was very informative and made the tour a lot of fun. She was very knowledgeable about Brooklyn and got the entire group properly psyched up in anticipation of our pizza stops. I would heartily recommend this tour!

GREAT BARGAIN DAY OUT

Really enjoyed the trip and would recomend to anyone. The tour guide was great fun and very laid back. She obviously loves Brooklyn and knows the area very well. She certainly sold it to us, we walked back over the bridge the day after to have another look. Funnily enough we bumped into her again and it was like meeting an old friend. The pizza at both places was great, and nothing was rushed. The tour was longer then expected, due to traffic but it didn't concern the guide who made sure we missed nothing. Go on the tour ! You will love it and see a great piece of New York that other tourists miss. When we go back to New York we will be checking out their tours again and going on as many as we can fit in.

Want to see a different side to NYC?

Bored with skyscrapers? Sick of hot dawgs & pretzels? Want to see a different side to NYC? The Slice of Brooklyn Pizza tour might just be the right tour for you. Having visited New York on several previous occasions, we had a desire to see something other than the traditional sights of Manhattan. The tour fulfilled our expectations. Led by our enthusiastic guide, we were given the opportunity to try 2 different kinds of pizza (including the famous Grimaldi's where we skipped past the long line outside the restaurant and were shown to our pre-booked table ... Sinatra wouldn't have had better treatment). We saw the Manhattan skyline from Brooklyn (where it's far more impressive than looking up at the towering buildings from within the great canyons of Manhattan itself); re-enacted the opening scene of Saturday Night Fever and walked along the famous Coney Island Boardwalk. A courteous, enthusiastic and knowledgeable host; good food and some great sights. A fantastic way to spend 4 hours. (Incidentally, we did this trip on the last day of our vacation ... it was an ideal activity to do when the bags had already been packed in readiness for our flight back to the UK).
