Fabulous fun with fabulous pizza

We've been to New York many times and were looking for something different to do which would also appeal to our twenty something year old children. A few days before our trip the Sunday Times (UK) gave a good review of the Slice of Brooklyn pizza tour so we thought we'd try it. It was easy to book online and our electronic tickets with good directions came through immediately. Our meeting point was easy to find at a good location to grab some bottles of water before we started the tour. The very comfortable, clean, air-conditioned tour bus arrived ahead of schedule and our tour guide, Paula, kept us entertained until the last customers arrived. Her interesting and informative patter continued to keep us amused for the next 4 ½ hours as we saw the sights of Brooklyn and ate fantastic pizza. We'd thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone. It's a great combination of fun, food and information and is good value for money. It would also be suitable for any age range and most mobility abilities. There are only two very short walking bits and anyone with severe mobility problems could stay on the bus and only leave it at the two restaurants. When we return to New York we'll definitely book another tour with A Slice of Brooklyn Bus Tours.

Our 3rd trip to NYC but our first tour of Brooklyn. Tour guide Paula was awesome. Tour stops were great (Coney Island, Brooklyn Bridge, DUMBO). The pizza stops were perfect - the pizza was delicious and we got to bypass the lines. Have already reccomended this tour to many friends. It was the highlight of our trip!

Entertaining Funny Informative and Delicious

In 2009 my 21 year old son and I took the Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour and had such a great day that when I returned with my soon-to-be 21 year old daughter I knew a repeat tour was in order. Our Brooklyn guide Tony knows his city like no other and his funny, relaxed delivery of stories about the neighborhoods makes the time fly buy. You see what a diverse place Brooklyn is as well as tasting some of the best pizza in the world. This is a true value for money experience and I have recommended it to everyone I know as a must do on a visit to New York City. Thanks Tony for adding to my daughters experience and a thanks also to Paula for her great tour back in 2009. You won't be sorry you took this tour. Steve, Mitchell and Samantha from Australia

This was so so good, our son now eats Pizza!!

We found this tour online and booked before we left Australia so it was a risk we are so glad we took. Are kids didn't know what to expect but from our 20 year old daughter to 18 and 16 year old sons all loved it. Touring New York for a few days can be tiring but from the moment Tony welcomed us onto the small group bus it as like a day off with food and entertainment thrown in.. informative, fun and great food. We now feel clever that we can brag to our friends we have seen a side of New York (well Brooklyn to be precise) that few others see over there. The top of the tops was that when booking I made special note that our 16 year old son didn't eat Pizza, which I know sounds crazy as Pizza is a big part of this tour.. Tony was great about it, said he would have other Italian food for him but asked him just to try it and guess what..our boy is converted and loved the Pizza.. that's how good the stuff is on this tour. So advice is book early, don't miss this tour and don't eat too much before your go.. its a great day and great food!

Perfect Brooklyn Tour
Fri, Jul 6, 12   11:00 AM New12York Female 40-49 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
Tony was great and the tour felt very authentic and not polished. Tony was passionate and knowledgeable about Brooklyn and gave interesting tidbits along the way. The tour was organized without feeling cookie cutter. Everything was timed perfectly with video and the section of Brooklyn we were touring. It was just a great tour and gave a person a sense and feeling of Brooklyn neighborhoods, it's history and it's future. The pizza was out of this world and perfect to contrast the thin crust of Grimaldi's with thick crust of Spumoni's - both were exceptional and nice to experience without having to search all over to tast the best pizza in the US. Highly recommend.

Great Time with A Slice of Brooklyn Tour

My daughter and I had a wonderful time visiting New York City for the first time ever and one of our special highlights of the trip was A Slice of Brooklyn tour. The pizza was absolutely delicious and our tour guide, Paula was really friendly, informative and easygoing. I liked visiting all the different neighbourhoods. I also liked the movie clips and seeing the spots where movies were filmed. Seeing the Brooklyn Bridge was really great and walking on the boardwalk at Coney Island by the Atlantic Ocean was amazing. I would highly recommend this tour and I am already starting to think about visiting New York City again and doing another A Slice of Brooklyn tour. Thank you for this tour.

Extremely well-organised tour and a host who lifts it way above the average historical tour. Paula introduced us to every aspect of Brooklyn with a fascinating narrative...and the pizza was incredible of course!

This is an excellent tour!! Tony`s knowledge of Brooklyn is so good that absolutely nothing feels rehearsed. It`s like a stand-up show on wheels. We would also like to give a special thanks to "Brooklyn Frank" for the spumoni. Vaffanapoli!!

Well worth it!

This tour was well worth the money. It allowed us to see parts of Brooklyn that we would have never seen on our own, and provided us with tons of movie trivia and facts that I'm not sure we could have got anywhere else. The pizza was delicious, but to me that was just icing on the cake - without the pizza it would be a great tour! Be sure to get your tickets booked in advance though - it seems to book up quickly! Don't miss this!

Absolutely Brilliant & Highly Recommended Tour
Mon, May 21, 12   11:00 AM mikendebbie Female 50-59 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
What a fabulous day we had (despite the miserable rainy weather). Paula our tour guide was sensational. With her knowledge of Brooklyn & wonderful sense of humor and fun how could you not have a good time. The only way to describe the Pizza tastings at Grimaldi and Spumoni is "Yum Yum Yum", both very different styles but equally tasty in their own way. If we are fortunate enough to visit New York again "A Slice of Brooklyn Tours" will be at the top of our list and we will definately be recommending to our friends & family. Thanks again Paula for a fantastic day. 11/10
