My parents decided to go to New York to celebrate their 25th anniversary and they couldn't have been happier. They took one of the Double Decker tours through the city and they also took the A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza tour and they say this is the best tour they've ever been on by far. The host Tony was excellent and really knows Brooklyn. I even e-mailed Tony and asked him if he could wish my parents a Happy 25th anniversary. Not only did I get quick responses from Tony, but my parents were totally caught off guard when Tony wished them a Happy 25th anniversary. Thanks again Tony!
My parents enjoyed the pizza as well. Said both places were excellent. And they just loved Coney Island. So I would definitely recommend this tour to anybody visiting New York City. I know when I go back, I'll definitely be taking the tour. My parents enjoyed it and had a great time. Great host, great pizza, great tour. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! |

Since going on this tour we have experienced all the following :
Have not stopped talking about it. Have been telling our friends and family about it. Have planned our next trip to Brooklyn. Have suffered from intense Grimaldi's & Spumoni's pizza withdrawal !
Tony has created a masterpiece that features pizza -but it's a lot more than just the pizza. Its Brooklyn history , its real estate info, its the story of the evolution of the city and it's famous people and it's pop culture. It's many amazing photo ops and it's the very cool experience of going to a popular restaurant and walking right past a line of 100 to your waiting table!
A brilliant part of the experience are the videos on the bus of movie scenes timed precisely with your arrival at the exact location where they were shot.
Tony personalized the tour by speaking one on one with all the guests. He posseses a wealth of information and I believe he could speak in depth on any subject that has anything to do with his beloved Borough.
My 13 year old daughter loved it too!
Thinking about going to a Broadway play? Fuhgeddaboudit! Take this tour instead, you won't regret it. |

This was a thoroughly enjoyable and informative tour of Brooklyn. It was a good mix of driving through neighborhoods, stopping at borough sites, stopping for pizza, watching video clips and listening to information from tour guide. The tour guide was a native of Brooklyn and from his discussions you could tell he loved the area. He had interesting stories about the history and politics of Brooklyn, movies made in Brooklyn, and famous children and residents of Brooklyn. And the pizza was delicious! And some of us braved a ride on the Cyclone at Coney Island. |

This tour is fantastic. Tony is the nicest, down to earth guy with the gift of gab and a home grown pride of Brooklyn. This tour is interesting and fun from start to finish. Even the most jaded of travelers should find this tour memorable, and worth every penny. Do it! You will not regret it. We are looking forward to participating in any future tours Tony comes up with. Thanks Tony, for making our weekend in NYC a truly special one.

The tour was great. Tony was wonderful. He knew so much about the history of Brooklyn and the pop culture and local trends and issues. And his knowledge of pizza is amazing too. Grimaldi's and Spumoni Gardens are incredible. This tour is a great way to spend an afternoon, especially for a Manhattanite who knew nothing about Brooklyn. |

Everything about the tour was perfect (including the weather). Tony has an indescribable way of guiding you through the historic neighborhoods of Brooklyn. Although the pizza is the best you have ever tasted, it takes a back seat to Tony's wonderful personality and knowledge of the area. Go hungry and with a camera, you won't be disappointed!
Thanks again Tony, we look forward to Christmas Lights Tour this winter! |

This was simply awesome. The choice of pizza was fantastic and the sights were outstanding. To have such a wide range of historical and pop culture locations to soak up was, I feel, unique. And our guide was perfect, from his knowledge to his sense of humour and even his choice of words and the way he spoke. It truly brought it alive for someone who had only seen this part of the world on TV and in the movies. Highly Recommended! |

I was very surprised at how much there is to see in brooklyn. And having 4.5 hours to see it was great. Tony is full of knowlege of his home town and loves to show it off. And the pizza was incredible. like nothing you have ever had before.
One of my favorite parts was going to coney island. It reminded me of one of my favorite movies ( The Warriors) .
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. And I look forward to trying some of Tony's other tours in the near future.
Thanks

I'm a big fan of pizza in the first place, which means that I suspected I'd enjoy the tour. Funnily enough, that's not what makes it so special. For sure, the pizza at Grimaldi's (walking past the queues outside) is fantastic, probably the best you'll ever have. The tour is made, though, by the enthusiasm of Tony, a Brooklynite through and through, who takes you to places famous from the movies and from mob killings. In case you don't remember the movies - don't worry, Tony plays clips in the very comfortable bus as you're going past the locations. Especially memorable are the Saturday Night Fever and French Connection clips - you're really there! This is probably the best tour I've ever done - my only criticism would be that it ended too soon! Well done Tony, I'm sure you'll enjoy much success! |

Having a real Brooklynite share the deep tradition of not only the place in history of pizza and its migration into NYC, but to hear the history of the neighborhoods was "Da Bomb." The sell point to this was the real life experience and pride the host had in his city, his bororugh , and more importantly his pizza selections. We aprpeciated the interacted not only during the tour but more impressive was his ability to sit with us while we ate and shared his views and inquired about ours. Class act!!!!!! This ranked right up their with our visit to the bronx to watch the Yankees beat Boston. I will definately repeat my afternoon spent with Tony, for both the food and his passion for his borough. |

Tony makes you feel that you are his special guests. Plenty of delicious pizza. Videos add a lot to the overall tour. I can't imagine going on "A Slice of Brooklyn and not have Tony be your guide. He was pleasant and attentive. No one knows Brooklyn like he does. I'd highly recommend the tour and in fact we already have. I look forward to other tours that Tony may lead. This one was worth every penny |

The pizza was great but the tour was even better. Tony did a great job of showing and explaining what Brooklyn is all about. This was a thoroughly entertaining 41/2 hours. |
