Definitly worth a recommendation, the tour surprised me pretty much. Brooklyn was really different to what I had expected. The guide was very knowledgable and made a great fun out of it in a pretty relaxed athmosphere. The Pizzerias visited were very nice.

The highlight of our trip to New York City

From start to finish our tour with Tony on Labor Day was fantastic. I can confidently tell my friends and family that you haven't been to New York if you haven't been to Brooklyn and you haven't been to Brooklyn if you haven't taken the Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour. The history and the insight Tony gave us into this incredible borough were very informative. The pizzas, both the "round pie" and the "square pie" were great. I preferred the square and my wife liked the round better. We now have a list of movies we have to re-rent just to see the scenes shot in the locations Tony and Kenny took us to. We're looking forward to taking another tour with "youse guys" on our next trip to New York.

A tour that provides maximum customer enjoyment!

This is the best city tour we have ever had. The tour Guide (and creator) developed a very entertaining and educating tour of Brooklyn. He used video clips from well known movies shot in Brooklyn in a very clever and timely way that captured our attention. The detailes of the tour and the commentary were well researched and delivered in a professional way that exceeded our expectation. We give it a 10. This is a great tour for any one visiting New York to get a fresh perspective about Brooklyn and its history. Our daughter who lives in Brooklyn recommended the tour and joined us. She enjoyed it and learned new information that she enjoyed. The pizza stops where great and very well planned. We enjoyed the pizza and the whole atmosphere. This tour provides the highest customer satisfaction and is worth the time and price.

Brooklyn - the Hidden Gem!!!

My husband, 25 year old daughter and myself went on this tour on Labor Day. We have done several other food tours in Manhatten, but this was the BEST of NYC!!! Tony is knowledgable about, not only pizza, but his hometown of Brooklyn and loves to share it. We plan to do his other tours of Brooklyn in the future. Thanks, Tony & Pete, for a great day!!! Linda & family from Chicago.

Fun way to see and learn about Brooklyn quickly

Our tour guide, Paula, was fun and entertaining, We really enjoyed ourselves, and the group was a nice sized one, not too big. Since my husband and I are from Chicago, we wanted to compare their pizza with ours. There is no way my husband would wait in line for as long as some of the regular customers have to, for any food, anywhere, so this tour provided us with the opportunity to go to the head of the line with no waiting. When we are on a trip, we want to see as much as we can in the time we have, and waiting in long lines is not conducive to that. There is only one small complaint, and that is that the two pizza stops are timed too close together, so it doesn't give you enough time to work up an appetite for a second round of pizza, although there is always room for the yummy ice cream at the second stop. So, make sure you don't fill up at the first stop, or you won't have much of an appetite for the second stop's pizza tasting. All in all, a wonderful experience! Am looking forward to doing the Brooklyn "neighborhood" tour the next time we go out there.

Great tour, great pizza

I had a great time on this tour. Skipping the line at Grimaldi's was worth the price alone, but the tour of Brooklyn was great as well. Paula does a great job giving insight into life in Brooklyn. L&B Spumoni Gardens has some great pizza as well. Highly recommended!

I would recomend the "A Slice of Brooklyn" tour!
Sun, Sep 6  11:00 AM janblloyd Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
The tour was interesting, informative, and delicious!! The bus accomodations were very comfortable and Kevin was an excellent driver. Our tour guide, Paula, was very knowledgable about the area and told us many interesting facts. She had a wonderful, laid back personality which made everyone very comfortable. The pizza from Girmaldi's and Spumoni Gardens was fantastic! The spumoni was not bad either. The tour was laid back and not at all perfectly scripted like some other tours can be. We enjoyed it very much!

We saw the tour on TV at home in Australia and knew straight away that we were going to do it on our upcoming trip to the US. We met with Tony on a Saturday around 11am, straight away he was friendly and felt like a pal. We all jumped on the air conditioned bus (needed as it was getting quite hot) and headed for Brooklyn. Tony makes everyone feel comfortable, asking us all questions about where we're from and cracking jokes like there's no tomorrow. He gave us a run down of the areas we were visiting, culture, history, you name it, there's even a TV with scenes from movies that were filmed in Brooklyn. Tony was informative and it was fun, a lot of fun. You can feel the pride & passion that he has for his hometown and it actually makes you want to pack up and move to Brooklyn! One thing that must be mentioned about the tour......... the PIZZA!!! Grimaldi's is a fantastic place (great soda from there too), if anyone asks why you're jumping the line, just tell them to "fuggedaboutit". Spumoni Gardens takes pizza to a whole new level. I love my pizza with plenty of sauce and Spumoni does not disappoint. Sauce, cheese in the dough, great service, I wish I could experience this back home every day. The BEST pizza you'll ever eat! You will actually get quite full and lucky to say I was able to get some extra servings. I would recommend that if you're remotely close to New York, you MUST go on this tour. No questions, no excuses, just go, you'll be blown away.

Brooklyn Pizza Tour Excellent
Sat, Sep 5  11:00 AM MILLERDS Male 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
The tour is much much more than slices of pizza. I have been on and enjoyed several of the Zerve New York tours and this was by far the best. From up under the Brooklyn Bridge, through the many diverse Brooklyn neighborhoods, and browsing around Coney Island - everything was entertaining, educational, and just so much fun. And also the different types of pizza were great. I would recommend this tour to everyone visiting New York. The main difference between this tour and others was the super tour guide - Tony- who has a real passion for Brooklyn and pizza. This is one of the few tours I didn't want to end.

Great tour. Tony is a great host and guide. 4 1/2 hours is a long time but worth it . Two tips: 1. make sure you are not tired when it starts 2. you won't need dinner resrvations for that evening - a light snack will do.
