Genuine Brooklyn Pizza

At Grimaldi's you can see them make pizza like they would in the 1600's that they served to the queen of spain or something like that. Anyways, it was delicious. If you're in the mood for thicker pizza save your appetite for Spamonis cause that was totally bomb. There is basically an unlimited amount of pizza, but it wasn't just about the pizza. The yours guides give you a clear background and history of Brooklyn and tell you all about the neighborhood today since they live there. Big comfortable air conditioned bus. They play movie clips as you drive by the places where they were shot. Walk the boardwalk at Coney Island. Writing this makes me want to go on the tour again. I hope you your tour guide is Paula, a cute little Jewish Italian girl whose true to her roots and in no way enjoys bacon or any other pork products.

We are so glad we did this tour.... the pizza was authentic, different and delicious at each stop; the bus was cool, clean and comfortable, Paula was a fantastic tour guide; funny, friendly and informative.... we loved everything about this tour, and even learned a lot more about Brooklyn than we expected. I was traveling with my teenage daughter, and we would both highly recommend this tour to everyone. It was a major highlight of our trip.

We initally joined this tour for the pizza. Well, the pizza was divine - way beyond our expectations. The tour itself was fun, fantastic and well organised. It was great seeing the Manhattan skyline from Brooklyn, visiting so many Brooklyn neighbourhoods was really interesting. We enjoyed seeing the places where famous movies were filmed. We learnt so much on this tour, had a great time, enjoyed the pizza. Congratulations to our guide and driver for such a successful tour.

We spent four days in NY. The highlight of our trip was the Slice of Brooklyn tour! Tony was great, the pizza was the best, the price was right, nothing not to like!! We learned so much and we all commented how organized the tour was. We will recommend it to all our friends. Thanks for a great day and making our NY stay so much fun. Rebecca Mason, Succasunna, NJ PS you should charge $100.00 and end the tour at the Brooklyn Brewery. We went there afterwards and it made the whole day extra special!!!

Can't recommend this tour enough. Its worth it for the pizza alone, but there's a LOT more to it. Tony introduces you to the neighborhoods, the history, and the culture of Brooklyn, with insight that only an insider can provide. The movie locales were an added bonus - very cool. From Bensonhurst to Coney Island, we had a blast!!

This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip and I would highly recommend it to everyone. We covered a lot of ground in Brooklyn and because Tony grew up there it felt more personal and we got to see a side of the burough that you normally don't get on a regular city tour. The purpose of the tour is to get an overview of the area so while there wasn't a ton of time to spend at each stop, we learned lots and know where we want to go back to on our next trip there, which is exactly what we wanted. The pizza was killer - getting to jump the line at Grimaldi's alone was worth the price of the tour. Tony was the best.....our group also did an evening, neighborhood tour in Brooklyn with him and Uncle Louie which was fantastic. I would suggest that anyone going to New York, take as many tours with this company as you can get. Thanks for the great memories, Tony. We'll be back with more friends for pizza and another Brooklyn neighborhood to explore! Mindy

I attended the A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour with my mom while we were in NY (from San Diego) and this was definitely a highlight of our trip. It was very interesting to hear about the history of Brooklyn, see the landmarks, and visit the Pizza establishments. Our tour guide was awesome, not only did she know the history of Brooklyn but she was very friendly and helpful with my mother who couldn't get around to easily. I would definitely recommend this tour to anybody visiting NY, it was a great way to spend the day and the other tourists we met on the trip were all great. Again, this was the highlight of our NY vacation and I would recommend this tour to everybody.

We had 4 days to spend in New York. With so much to do in so little time, it might seem like a lot to spend 4.5 hours in an "outer borough". But hey, it's Brooklyn, and Tony is just the guy to show you around. We lived in Brooklyn for over 25 years and we can vouch that he shows you the best and most interesting places. You will get the insights of a native Brooklynite who knows the insider scoop and has really studied up on the history of the places he takes his tour. He showed us a few new things we'd missed in all our years in the borough, and can't forget to mention the great pizza.
