GREAT TOUR
Fri, Aug 7, 09   11:00 AM sharoncarter Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
The title of the tour "A Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour" was intriquing, so we signed up for it. We were not disappointed. The tour provided a tour of Brooklyn, Coney Island, famous movie locations, tasty pizza, and an excellent tour guide. What more could you ask for? Tony did an outstanding job of showing off his home town.

Great Tour

This was a great tour! Paula (our tour guide) was fantastic! She gaves us a really good taste of Brooklyn. The places we visted were great (especially the pizza!) My favourite location was Coney Island - it would have been nice to have a little more time there but it was great to see. Also time for an ice cream stop under the Brookyn bridge would be a bonus! The video clips were a nice touch, it was good to see the places on the screen and then look out the window and see the same thing. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visting New York - Brooklyn is a must see!

Great time - great pizza

We had Paula as our guide and she was very knowledgeable as well as entusiastic. The other people on the tour were also very friendly, which helped make the day more enjoyable. The stops along the way were interesting and the pizza was terrific and offered in great abundance. The historic tidbits and local background were an added bonus. The 4 1/2 hours went by very quickly - actually more quickly than I originally envisioned. My only suggestion would be to have a very basic, simple to read, map available so people could have a better understanding of where they were (and where they had been) relative to the other locations.

A Wonderful Afternoon in a Great Location

The tour was fantastic from the well-maintained van to the very knowledgable and interesting tour guide down to the delicious pizza. You really get a sense of the varying parts of Brooklyn and the two distinct types of pizza served. Paula, being from Brooklyn, knows an amazing amount about the area and you can really get the sense of pride she has with her city. The movie scenes coinciding with the areas we were visiting along the way were very interesting and seemlessly married together. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about Brooklyn.

Our enthusiastic guide was Paula and she showed us many different sides to Brooklyn, including the locations of many film clips. The pizza stops were both great too.

Our tour leader, Paula, was informed, enthusiastic, thoughtful, involved and was able to make information interesting....there was never a dull moment. Also, the way the company coordinated videos re movie street scenes with actual location of van was seamless. Definitely for those interested in Brooklyn and the pizza ain't bad either!

Tony was a great guide and is unlike any other tour guide you've ever met! He is enthusiastic but not over the top (like many tour guides) and makes the tour very run and relaxing....The tour becomes a full brooklyn tour vs. just pizza, although the pizza is also very good. I highly recommend his tour!

Excellent Tour with Delicious Pizza

I loved the Brooklyn Pizza Tour. Tony is a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide. I learned a great deal about Brooklyn. I enjoyed being shown film clips that were filmed in the various neighborhoods that we visited. The pizza - neapolitan at Grimaldi's and sicilian at L&B Spumoni Gardens- was some of the best pizza I have ever had.

Great Time!

I really liked this tour. I went on it alone and it was great. The guide was fantastic. I learned a ton about Brooklyn. I enjoyed learning so much history about the place. It was nice having a few stops along the way to get out and walk around. The pizza places were also a lot of fun. It was nice to try two different kinds of pizza and be able to compare them. I really like the movie clips that accompanied the tour. Part of the reason I went on the tour was to see where Saturday Night Fever was filmed. And I did! The highlight was being able to walk on the Coney Island Boardwalk. The only thing I would have liked was a map of Brooklyn to show us where we were. I had to go home and look up a map online. But overall a great tour that covers a lot of ground and teaches you a lot. And good food too!

Friends from Germany had attended the tour last year and described it as the highlight of their trip to NY. They were right; we also experienced it as the highlight of our 4 day trip. Tony is a funny, witty, interesting person who understands to pass his passion for Brooklyn on to his customers. Skip your breakfast; the pizza is too good for not being eaten. G.H.G. from Milwaukee

The tour exceeded our expectations. The tour guide was excellent and gave us new and interesting information about Brooklyn. Both pizza stops were excellent. L&B Spumoni Gardens brought back fond childhood memories for my wife. We highly recommend this tour.

Great if you are definitely interested in Brooklyn

-The bus, the movie clips on the bus, and the guide were great, couldn't be better. -The pizzas themselves didn't live up to our expectations...they had no toppings and there were 2 stops for pizza. -We were disappointed in seeing Brooklyn itself...wasn't there anything better or more interesting to see? Seeing where movies were made was interesting as well as Coney Island (rundown), but I would have also liked to see something positive!
