Best Tour We've Seen!!

| Tony did a super job researching the best pizzarias and local sites of interest. Everything was handled smoothly, including the driving. Super driver! The group size (12) was perfect for comraderie, like a cousins' club meeting on wheels. It seems as if like-minded individuals would be interested in this type of thing. Everyone was in the right mind set for this excursion. Tony knew his history, and combined that with a love of film, food and music. We saw video clips from films shot in Brooklyn. Most times we saw the exact view as seen in the story as we drove through the area. Great music selections, too. The stopping spots, where we went walking on-site, were interesting and beautiful to see. (Anchorages of the bridges, good photo spots on historic sites, parks, etc.) We love old buildings and bridges, so this was "right up our alley". The pizza stops gave us the best examples of Pizza Margherita and Pizza Siciliano that I've seen. (Rivals to my home catholic church variety and to that of Little Italy in Cleveland. Molto Bene!!) The comfort of the group members was always top on the list. (We had a group member with a hip problem and Tony allowed plenty of rest-time to accomodate passengers who needed a breather.) Everyone seemed at ease and comfortable. The tour bus seemed to be brand-new and was roomy and cool. The Audio/Visual equipment worked well and could be seen and heard with no problems. Again, the driver was extraordinary. Safe and professional. Tony and he worked well together. We understood that this was the "Maiden Voyage" for this tour. It went off without a hitch, including some nice surprises Tony planned for the trip home.(Shhh! We can't tell you about those!) We would recommend this tour to any History/Pizza/Film/Music lover anywhere. It dosen't matter if you aren't Italian, you WILL be after this tour. Dave and Carol - Cleveland, Ohio | ||||||

| The Brooklyn Pizza Tour was an excellent tour of Brooklyn. The tour operater was an enthusaistic and energetic Brooklyn native who seemed to genuinely enjoying giving a tour of his home in such a way that it seemed as though he was a friend taking another group of friends out for an enjoyable day. His careful attention to all of the small details surrounding the tour emphasized the thought with which he planned his tour. | ||||||

| We were tickled to have found such a great tour. The best part of the tour is the tour director, Tony. We found him to be extremely articulate, interesting, well informed, accommodating, and enthusiastic. We highly recommend this tour especially to those who like ourselves had never been to Brooklyn. Well worth the very reasonable price. | ||||||

| I thought Tony was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered our questions and if he didn't know the answer said he would find out. The tour was very well planned and covered a great deal of Brooklyn. I enjoyed every minute of it. The restaurants were both very good and the van was comfortable. I hope this tour takes off because it was one of the best I have taken. | ||||||

| Since my sister and I grew up in New Jersey and had many relatives in the Brooklyn area, we thought it would be fun to some of the places we rememebered going to as kids. It was a very intestesting and fun filled tour. The 2 pizza stops were great. We also enjoyed seeing Coney Island again. Upon our return to Florida we told our 95 year old Mother (who also lives in Florida) all about the tour. She thought it was interesting how we got to see many areas of Brooklyn. Tony is a wonderful tour guide. We'll have to look into some of your other NY tours the next time we're heading for the City. There just be some other Brooklyn tours we can take. | ||||||

| I just don't know where to start! We were greeted by this warm. friendly man name Tony. Tony was our tour guide. Tony created an atmosphere like we were his friends in his house and were warmly introduced to other members participating in the tour. Instantly, we felt a sense of belonging! He was so sincere, kind, and really was out to show us what Brooklyn was all about. Being a native NYer. I was taken to sights that I never knew existed. Let alone seeing the sights, the history and information provided by Tony was so detailed and clearly presented. We saw video clips, listened to amazing music, listened to stories about the area.....it was great. We were taken to many movie sets which took place on Brooklyn's ground. Seeing the sights in person as the movie clips were displayed on the color TV, I felt like I was in the movie. Should we even begin to mention the pizza shops visited. I'll use only two words.. (1)Delish and (2)Fantastic. As we walked the coney Island boardwalk, the group was having so much fun and we asked Tony if we can ride the famous Cyclone. As accomadating as he was, he even joined us! Most of the tour participated and a grad time was had by all! I have told many friends about this tour which, I might add, is the best tour I have been on EVER! If in NYC, this is a MUST DO! | ||||||

| Had a fantastic time on this tour! Tony is very knowledgeable about Brooklyn and has, obviously, coupled extensive research with personal experience. The pizza was great!! Good news to future tours...Tony is VERY adaptable and is willing and eager to adjust the tour to accommodate additional stops, i.e., the Cyclone at Coney Island. Danny was an EXPERT driver on this tour. You will have a Great time! | ||||||

| Tony - My 19 year old daughter and I took your Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour and absolutely loved it! We thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour - including the ride on the Cyclone at Coney Island where you admittedly "screamed like a 12 year old girl!" How great that you were flexible and accommodated our group to take these side adventures in addition to the scheduled tour. The pizza was absolutely delicious (I still vote for the Sicilian, but it 's close!); the sites were great, the movie locations were like being in the movie, and our group was fun...because you were such a great tour guide. Clearly, you love what you do, and it shows! The tour was not only fun, it was the best value for our dollar during our stay in New York. Thanks, Tony! Ruth and Jennifer | ||||||

| Tony Muia's enthusiasm and love of his native Brooklyn, its film sites, history, music and foods is so well-communicated that this love of Brooklyn becomes contagious. The 13-member tour group was very interactive and Tony provided more insight and suggestions of further NYC sights and experiences for later days. Grimaldi's neopolitan pizza was the biggest hit, both in taste and ambience as well as in its historic Brooklyn Bridge surroundings. The syncopated film clips with the tour surroundings was very remarkable as well... the Ferrari scene from Scent of a Woman is an example. Thank you ! We totally enjoyed the tour and recommended it to our NYC and New Jersey relatives who are delighted that this tour exists since most have not been in Brooklyn for 20-40 years, but plan to take this tour this fall. | This was a wonderful tour. Tony is a great host/guide. His knowledge of Brooklyn and the city in general is substantial and he imparts to the group with a great deal of personality and humor. The pizza stops were fun and delicious and don't forget to get some spumoni at the second stop. Tony makes a point of talking personally with everyone in the group. The bus is very comfrotable and his use of film clips during the tour truly enriches the experience. We had a member of our family whose ability to walk is limited and he made accomodations wherever necessary to make sure the tour was enjoyable and accessable for her. When we were on our way back to Manhatten after the tour he had the bus stop in Chinatown to let some people off before we got back to Union Square. This was a tour that our whole family really enjoyed. | ||||||

| I thought Tony was an excellent tour guide with great enthusiasm and knowledge of Brooklyn. His energy really made the tour what it was, as well as his patience for all of our questions. You could tell he really cared that we, the customers, were enjoying ourselves, and he made it a point to make sure that everyone was having fun. I thought the tour itself was really interesting and a great opportunity, as I would never have been able to see so much of Brooklyn in such a short period of time. The two stops for Pizza were also great, and it was nice trying two different types of Pizza. I think the idea of having a bunch of different tours around Brooklyn is a good idea, as we only seemed to cover a small portion of Brooklyn. I think the 4 1/2 hour time span was perfect. I will definitely recommend this tour to my friends and family. Good luck! Shoshanna Levitt | ||||||

| Tony was great in providing an enjoyable tour without a dull moment. The stops at the pizza restaurants were the perfect compliment to the experiences of Brooklyn. And the fact that the pizza was built into the ticket price just made this an even better value. It really makes a difference to havea tour guide who is passionate about the town in which he was raised. Thanks again Tony for the great tour. | ||||||
