Activity Description
Now in it's 24th year, Jazz at the Conservatory features several performances a year by world renowned jazz musicians.
In celebration of Black History Month we proudly present with the Brooklyn Museum in February the legendary jazz great Taj Mahal with an all-star band including Howard Johnson, Bob Stewart, Joe Daley, Earl McIntyre, Buddy Williams, Earl Gardner, Victor See Yuen, John diMartino, Ron Jackson and Jerome Harris.
Examples of past performers include the Health Brothers, Barry Harris, Billy Taylor, Eddie Henderson, Vanessa Rubin, Andy Gonzalez, T.S. Monk, Mingus Dynasty, Kenny Garrett, Mark Murphy and Sheila Jordan, and Wayne Shorter. Check out our 2007-2008 schedule!
