We absolutely loved our Big Mojo tour with Memphis Jones! His talented singing and playing, knowledge of the historical roots of the great area blues musicians, and terrific enthusiasm for all things Memphis, provided us with a truly unique, enjoyable, and inspirational experience. We now consider this to be the best bus tour that we've ever taken!

Memphis Backbeat Big Mojo Tour was AWESOME

Three die-hard music and Elvis fans wanted to see Memphis from a music perspective. We were wowed at the tour of Sun Studios, realizing how quaint it was to put out such great hits. Then we got back on the bus, wondering what else we could learn, and our guide, "Memphis Joe" sang and told anecdotes and took us through old neighborhoods where Elvis and Johnny Cash lived before they were famous, showed us the site of Elvis' first concert, showed us the spot where Martin Luther King was shot, and we were enchanted the entire three hours. I recommend the extended tour to all music lovers who visit memphis. We are still talking about it. Still remembering tidbits of information we'd forgotten about it. We wish we had taped the whole thing so we could play it back and remember even more.

My wife and I went on the Backbeat Tour Bus and we enjoyed it immensely. Memphis Jones our Tour Guide was so entertaining, he made the tour interactive. He played guitar and sang, all the people on the bus joined in and had either a tamborine or "shaker" to assist with the rhythm section. Memphis Jones is very knowledgeable of Memphis and musical history. We had a wonderful bus driver and the Memphis Mojo Tour staff was extremely pleasant When visiting Memphis, don't miss this tour. KUDOS!!!

Gary Hardy was highly entertaining and his personal familiarity and participation in the history of Rock 'n Roll made the tour a real experience. The tour guide at Sun Records studio was obviously very enthusiastic about her job and the industry it represents. She was one best, if not the best, tour guide we've come across. Being in the actual environment where the music of my childhood originated was just plain COOL!

A thoroughly enjoyable as well as educational tour...from the classic bus to the singing and knowledgeable tour guide as well as the personable tour guide at Sun Studios. This tour was more than we anticipated and certainly gave us not only a historical appreciation for Memphis but the rich musical heritage that we owe to those pioneers of rock-n-roll. After recently seeing both Million Dollar Quartet and Memphis this tour made the stage performances come even more alive.

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. The guide was a very hilarious, high-energy, and talented man that seemed to have very intimate knowledge of some of the legends in the Blues industry. He told some very interesting stories that the average tour guide couldn't know. He(Gary) was also a surprisingly amazing guitar player and good singer! Touring the Sun Studio was also a highlight. Standing where some of the greats recorded their hits was a very cool experience. I would definitely recommend this tour.
