Enjoyed the tour. Live music was entertaining and commentary was very informative. Slightly longer at sun studio would have been appreciated,

We took the extended Mojo Tour with another couple and were delighted that we did. The tour kicked off with the Sun Studio tour which was first class and hosted by an extremely passionate and knowledgeable venue tour guide who answered all our questions and added so much to what would have been merely an interesting tour if we were left to read the information in the various displays on our own. However, wiith his enlightening commentary it was great fun, and an educational and fascinating experience. The tour continued by bus and was absolutely fabulous thanks to our very talented and knowledgable tour guide, Kathryn. She has a beauitul voice which she demonstrated regularly along the way by filling in her running commentary with songs made famous by Memphis recording artists. She has a wonderful personality which shone through in the stories and tidbits of information she shared with us along the tour route. I suspect, as did other members of our group, that Kathryn has many more stories of interest than could be shared in so short a time and we would guess that each tour is a bit different and tailored to the response of the tour members. So much of a tour is dependent on the tour guide and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have had the pleasure of Kathryn's company for the tour. The bus was comfortably air conditioned and the tour lasted about three hours. We were sorry to see it end and would recommend the tour to everyone who has an interest in getting a great immersion into the people, places, music and events that made Memphis the stellar attraction it is.

We took the big mojo tour. Our tour guide was fun and very entertaining. We learned a lot about the history of Memphis. The only recommendation I would have is that the bus should stop at the Lorraine Hotel so everyone get out a take a few pictures. I would recommend the big mojo tour to everyone.

Musician Didn't Show Up!!

First I would like to say that I have been on this tour before and loved it. This time though, it was awful. We were 30 minutes late in leaving because the musician that was to be our guide didn't show up. The lady who was selling the tickets, Kathryn, had to take over. She started by letting up know that she had a headache and didn't have her mojo. We drove around town while she sang off key and took medicine for her head. She never did get her mojo (whatever that is) back and our tour was cut short. Very disiappointing after traveling over 1500 miles with my family to enjoy Memphis. :(

Fun, but route was a little long

Our guide, Kathryn, had great energy and a terrific singing voice. We saw some off-the-beaten-path sites, like Elvis' first apartment, but at times felt like we were driving up and down the same road to allow time for the story, song, etc. It was a comfortable and fun way to see Memphis sites!

Sun Studios Tour

It's hard to take this tour with a bus load of people. We felt like we were herded through like cattle. Perhaps, it would be more feasible to divide the bus group in half. Let one group go through the first part while the other group enjoys the gift shop. When the first group begins their tour in the studio, the other group can begin theirs upstairs. The first group can shop while the second group continues their tour. This way both groups can shop. We didn't get to do that because we had to catch the bus. Otherwise, we really enjoyed this tour. We're from out of town and we just wanted to get the whole experience.

Enjoyed the ride with Nancy Apple and her guitar. Wished we could have more time at each stop but it was a Good Time. Great history of Memhis and music.
