Extended Memphis Mojo Tour

The extended tour was well worth the cost. Our tour guide was awesome, and gave so much information about the music scene of Memphis. Nancy Apple was our guide and was an amazing singer also. The Sun Studio tour was wonderful also. I am bringing my children on this tour next summer!!!

Friends, TAKE THIS TOUR! Holy moly, it was wonderful. It was probably a heat index of 115 when my friend and I went on the Big Mojo tour, and it didn't matter one bit. Kathryn was our tour guide, and she was funny, full of facts, and had a lovely voice. She was open and honest about all the little nuances and details of Memphis, and made it a totally wonderful experience. Not to mention that you get to play tambourines on the bus as your guide sings. They also took care of our group in the heat -- provided ice cold bottled water for everyone, as well as wet wipes if we were feeling sweaty... and everyone was in a great mood despite the fact that they were half melted. Spent 3 hours driving around Memphis and stopping in Sun Studios, where we were able to take a picture holding the exact microphone that Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis, et al, used when recording in the 50s... Please go. Youi'll have a great time.

This is a fabulous tour!!! A must for every American! We did this this as our first tour after we arrived in Memphis. It was great to see all the historical sites in one package and then decide what we would explore individually. Very fun, loved the music... Families, groups, or single this tour is worth every penny. Great city, great staff, great tour guide, time efficient ...can't wait to go again next month!

Four of us took the Big Mojo Tour. Our "escort" could play the guitar well, but his voice left much to be desired. He continually made references to the gratuities he expected to receive for the tour: "$10 if you enjoyed yourselves and $ 20 if you learned something". It was repeated many times. Also, we thought we paid for a waste of time to take the first tour, return to Beale Street and wait for others to join us and then go out again. We honestly expected a full tour! We do not think we got our money's worth for this tour. The hostess at the point of origin was very friendly. We did have a tour of Memphis and a tour of Sun Studio. I do believe a different "entertainer/guide" could have made a difference. Our singer looked like he had just rolled out of bed.

We had a ball touring Memphis with Daniel Sage. What a personable young fellow. Lots of talent too. Of course, the rhythm section (that was the tour group) made all the difference. We enjoyed seeing the sights around the City and for us one of the highlights was the tour of Sun Studios. We sang and laughed the whole time. I would recommend this tour very highly to anyone interested in a unique tour of Memphis.

The music was great and the information was too. I learned alot about Memphis and its music and had alot of fun as well

We loved this tour. Memphis Jones was awesome,, he provided great music and so much informative facts on the Blues Music roots of Memphis. He made the tour so enjoyable. I would recommend this tour to everyone who visits Memphis. It truly gives you the information to understand how Memphis is the home of the Blues. And you will have so much fun singing along with Memphis Jones. It is just a really good time !!
