This is a great experience. Our tour went to Sun Studio first, returned to Beale Street and exchanged some customers and then did the Mojo tour. I was worried that the old bus might be hot but it was just the opposite. We had a rainy day and the bus had AC so it was a bit cool. No--WAY COOL! Listen up to your Elvis, Carl, Jerry, Johnny, Sam and Dave so you can sing along. And one Chuck Berry ... Can't imagine a better tour for the money.

An absolutely grand tour! The group joined in and we all had a good time. We learned a lot of little known fact as well as hitting all of the major ones.

On our two day stay in Memphis we decided to go on the Mojo tour, what a great choice. Our tour guide was Memphis Jones, he was amazing. We live right outside of NYC and love a good play, I had the same feeling after this tour. There was so much passion and love for Memphis and it's history and what a great entertainer! By the end of this tour you will fall in love with the city of Memphis as well as Memphis Jones! Highly recommend it.

My husband and I went on this tour on Friday, Oct. 16. I enjoyed it very much and so did my husband...at least after he finished complaining that there was no place to sit while we were waiting for the tour to begin. We took the Stax Museum tour and thought it was very interesting. We had an hour for the museum and still could have used more time there. The tour guide was excellent, held our attention and seemed to know what he was talking about. He was a good singer also. This tour also showed us some of Memphis that we otherwise wouldn't have seen. The only complaint that I have is that I wish the tour had been longer, would have liked to have seen more of the city. And I definitely wish there had been more time for the guide to sing. I didn't get to hear enough of his music. A much longer tour (with time for a lunch in a bar-b-que restaurant too) would have been just perfect.

Fun way to see the sights

Our group of two sisters and a cousin enjoy music, laughing, and other people, so the extended MoJo tour was a fit for us. The quirkiness of the guide was part of the draw, though her name-dropping got a bit far fetched and questionable. But we were in Memphis and we were on vacation, so no big deal!

A musical history tour!!!

I'm an Elvis fan and have been several times in Memphis. Of course I have visited Graceland and have enjoyed the Sun studios. However, I have never visited the places in Memphis where Elvis lived and where his career started. A tour is not one of my favorite activities but I participated in a tour with Backbeat Tours. Now I can say that this trip was the highlight of my visit in August 2011. The warming up in the bus was fantastic and from the beginning I was in a good mood. I never thought to play in a bus with a tambourine and a egg shaker singing along with songs from the past. The tour was a mix of facts, musical highlights (the guide was a wonderful singer!) and entertainment. In short: a great happening that gives me again some extra memories of Elvis and Memphis!!!!!!!

This tour was great. We chose the option to see the Stax Museum, and we were very pleased. It was very interactive, and the tour guide was great and very talented. Pray that you are lucky enough to have Jack Fly as your host!

Gary was the most amazing tour guide. Great musician and storyteller. I learned things you would never find in any book. My kids loved the musical instruments, the singing, and the cool old bus.
