My wife and I so enjoyed this tour. The guide / musician was excellent. He gave a two hour performance as we travelled around the music sites of Memphis singing along to the songs relevant to each location. The third hour was spent visiting the Sun Studios. Such a thrill made even better by the great Sun guide. I can't recommend this tour highly enough to anyone with an interest in music.

A very enjoyable three hours!

A tour is only as good as the tour guide and we had a great one. The bus was very comfortable and climate controlled. Our guide gave us a lot of background history about Memphis and its rich musical history. We drove past many historical landmarks and stopped to hear about how they helped impact the city's future. She was also an accomplished musician who both entertained and engaged us throughout her all too short hour and a half part of the tour. Part two of the tour took us to the Sun studios where another entertaining guide gave us a very entertaining profile and history of this iconic landmark. You might be able to do this tour on your own, but Backbeat Tours handled all of the details and made the stop effortless.

I had been on the Mojo tour two years ago with my sister and enjoyed it so much that I came back with my husband to take it again. We both loved it. The young lady that was our tour guide was very informative, funny, and talented. I actually learned some new things. Absolutely one of the most fun and interesting things to do in Memphis!

My adult daughter and I took this tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a great intro to Memphis as well as getting to Sun Studios. I re-lived some history and she learned some. Love the music guides who attach the music to the history.

Best tour I've been on

The young lady who was the tour guide was very personable. She had a lot of knowledge about the spots that we visited and was enthusiastic about the town. She sang songs about each spot we were at and got the whole bus involved in singing and playing instruments. She acted as though she was a friend taking us around the town and not like a tour guide who had done it many times before. The tour at Sun Studios was done by a young man who loved his job. He also was enthusiastic about what he was talking about and showing us the studio. We did not feel rushed even though there was a tour every half hour. There was plenty of time for everyone who wanted a picture with the microphone that Elvis used to have taken. The tour was about all of Memphis and the different types of music developed there and the historical aspects and not just Elvis.
