Extended Memphis Mojo Tour

We loved this tour. We were really glad we did the extended tour to see Sun Studio. The only downside was we did not have time to look in the gift shop there. We were still trying to get pictures in the recording studio and they came in and told us the bus was waiting on us. Our tour guide was Kathryn Brawley and she was absolutely awesome! Great voice and personality!

Brad, our guide, was awesome. Really liked the group participation with the music. We did the extended tour with Sun Studios and I highly recommend that.

Both informative and entertaining -- enthusiastic tour guide sang, played and talked throughout a 1 1/2 hour tour of the downtown Memphis area. Fellow tourists joined in providing a little rhythm in a way that didn't make anybody uncomfortable. We tagged on a guided tour of Sun Studio - well worth it if you have the extra time.

If you are in the Middle South, or on the NATCHEZ TRACE PARKWAY, please do yourself a favor and see MEMPHIS with BACKBEAT TOURS!! With BRANDON leading us around, this is probably the best city tour in the USA .. .. We hit all the major sights with BRANDON crooning the great music that has passed through Memphis .. .. And, do yourself a favor and book the SUN STUDIO TOUR as well and stand in the footsteps of the greats .. ..

I can't recomend this tour enough for those that want a tour of what Memphis is really about both historically and now. Get beyond Beale Street and get on the Mojo bus. Our guide LOVES MEMPHIS. He was very passionate and enthusiastic about all the things that make Memphis great: Stax Records, Sun Studios, Beale St., the Civil Rights Museum and all the people and landmarks that made Memphis history. Our guide at Sun Studios was excellent in her knowledge of and passion for the music and individuals that make Sun Studio a world famous place to record. Both of our guides were also a lot of fun and we got good music and lots of funny stories to boot.

I learned more on this bus tour then when I went inside on the tour. The host was very knowledgable and entertaining.

Memphis is an amazing city and its musical history is such a huge part of what makes it so. Our tour guide, Memphis Jones, was not only a wonderfully talented musician whose passion for music shined through but was also full of musical knowledge and lore which he shared in a most entertaining fashion. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the musical history of this colorful city. I also definitely would go with the extended tour - you can't go wrong with either Sun Studio or Stax.

I was so proud to be from Memphis on this trip. We took the took 05/02 10:00am, with two friends from PA and NJ (big music fans) and they were so impressed. Our guide and the bus driver were so nice. The guide was so talented and has filled with music knowledge. I will recommended it to everyone. Also we got lost and they met us at Sun Studios which saved our day. They helped us with transportation in the rain. I cannot thank you enough. The bus was so nice and fun. Your tour is certainly a compliment to Memphis and the surrounding area. My friends said they loved it !

Camera opportunities were poor ie out of the bus window , with glass flashback .one photo stop outside of the bus was a fluke by virtue of a customer wanting the toilet !! .The young gentleman singing was more preoccupied with his singing on beale street ie catch me here and tip me .My father needed a toilet stop and my friend who stayed behind was told why he had to go right at that moment , has he could have waited till the sun studio .well pardon my father for having a prostrate problem , he did well to hold on has he did , and nothing was said for the previous stop when the guide also alighted the bus .Had i known their would be no photo stops outside of the bus i would have not booked .The poor excuse of time proferred by the guide was poor , in liverpool the magical mystery beatles tours are time constrained but their is an outside photo shot at every relevant stop .you could do well to learn from the way they are operated.
