A Pleasant Distraction

| This was good, clean fun for a Saturday night. Nice for a group of friends. Not very exciting but a pleasant distraction. |

| the guide was animated and fun and had a great deal of patience with a drunk female in the group, who insisted on interrupting him
i felt our group (i think there were 20) was a little large to hear well, and had to kind of jockey to get close to the guide
he was very well informed and had an excellent sense of humor, quick on his feet
the only thing i would change is not having the initial talk in front of the kiosk, as there is a loudspeaker there that plays music from inside the club; we could not hear a word he was saying |

| Overall the stories were cute, but group was large and sometimes it was hard to hear. However no consideration was given to senior citizens with difficulty keeping up. They flew and I had my mother who has some minor difficulty getting around. Also when we went to basement no consideration was given that 5 people could not come down the steep steps for various health/handicap reasons. A simple version could have been repeated for them as they also paid the $$$$$$$$.
Really enjoyed the storyteller from the last location - inhouse chef, he was VERY entertaining. |

| I thought it was a good tour but I have done better in Alton Ill & St Augustine Florida. I felt it was more like a history tour even thou our guild was entertaining! I like his presentation but felt it was pretty short for the cost. I know Memphis has alot more to offer and felt that it was not included in the tour. With all the civil war history ... many other occurances over the years. The tour felt lacking. |

| We had Jessica as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, and had actually gone into many of the places to do research. It was very interesting to hear some of the darker history of Memphis you may not get with history tours. |

| The tour was fun, although the other two members of my group and I had some issues with the inclusion of the Gayoso apartment. First of all, the information was incorrect. The murder was in 2003 (not 1998, as stated on the tour) and the murder was solved shortly after (we were told that it was never solved). Secondly, that story was a little too scary, especially since we were told that it was family friendly. Overall, the tour was interesting and fun and I would recommend it, although after noticing the incorrect facts mentioned above, it was hard to believe the rest of the information. |

| We got a little history, a little creeped out, and a lot of fun! Our guide was really great. He knew the stories, added a little extra to the tales and was very funny.
This was a great way to start out our trip. The next day, we even ate at one of the restuarants that they mentioned on the tour! |

| Memphis has so much history and Backbeat does a great job protraying it. The tour guide was informative. It is kind of like a walking history tour with ghosts. It is not scary just interesting. I felt very safe walking around downtown. |
