Had a wonderful day out - the three hour hound dog tour took me to elvis sights that I would not have been able to get to on my own. The bus tour was fun and informative - especially enjoyed singing along with the elvis songs. Also Sun Studios 60th Anniversary ceremony was a memorable occasion meeting George Klein and others at Sun Studios. The tour organisers were very friendly and helpful and I cannot praise them enough. Would definitely book one of their tours again.

We all enjoyed the tour

We had a great time attending the ceremony at Sun Studio for the 60th anniversary of Elvis Presley recording "That's All Right." I really enjoyed getting to see the studio from WHBQ (where Dewey Phillips first played "That's All Right" on the air) that was salvaged from the Chisca Hotel and is now on display at Sun Studio. Our tour director was extremely knowledgeable about Elvis and he showed us a number of different places where Elvis lived, practiced and performed. We really enjoyed all the Elvis songs the tour director played during the tour (we were very impressed he was able to perform all the songs that were requested). I would definitely take another tour with Backbeat Tours next time I'm in Memphis.

Hound Dog/60 Years of Rock 'N" Roll Tour...Fun!

We very much enjoyed the tour. Because it was on July 5th we were at Sun Studio when they had the 60 Years of Rock 'N' Roll ceremony, an added plus. Our on board host and musician Brad Birkedahl was informative, entertaining and a great guitarist! The tour is the way to go to hear Elvis history and see some of the Elvis sites that are not necessarily in the tour books, all while seated on a comfortable air-conditioned bus, joining in with Brad singing our favorite Elvis songs!

The good part was the people at Zerve couldn't have been nicer. They were very accommodating. Seeing where Anita Wood lived was nice, just wasn't enough of that to go around. Buying the added ticket to visit Lauderdale Courts was also good. The down side was pointing at service stations and saying this is where Elvis did so-and-so before it was torn down - this was not interesting. Why not show us the park where he played football with his friends, the church he attended, Beale Street looked back when Elvis walked it, his first home on Audubon Drive, favorite restaurants, etc. More personal stops such as these would have been nice.

We enjoyed the music on the tour. Elvis information was good. We would have liked to get out and see Lauderdale Court apts. and the Overton band shell. If at all possible we would have liked to have seen the house on Audoubon Drive. Overall it was a good tour.
