Hot, Bumpy ride

The guide on our Mojo tour was great and I enjoyed his music and commentary. The ride??? not so much, So bumpy photography was nearly impossible and the cooling system no match for the hot day in Memphis....Guess it was better than walking in Memphis on such a day! I did see some places to go back to and get some photographs. If you could improve the ride and ability to see the views of your city from our seats the tour would have been awesome. I would have loved to see some of the Riverside too.

This was my first visit to Beale street and also Backbeat Tours. I found parking to be very convenient, just a block away. The bus reminded me of my childhood in the fifties. We took our seats and our hosts started passing out tamborines and egg shaped shakers for the percussion backup. Our tour guide was very entertaining. He sang and played guitar and was a wealth of information about the history of Memphis and its musicians. I know I want to come back and spend more time in Memphis.

I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the tour. It was not what I expected, but it was extremely enjoyable. I would take it again in a heartbeat! The host, Memphis Jones, was funny, knowledgeable, good singer, and just really knew how to entertain the group. If I could change anything, I would simply make it last longer.

My wife and I enjoyed the music and very entertaining tour guide, Memphis Jones. We certainly learned things about Memphis that we did not know and it was done in ways that were very entertaining. I would highly recommend the tour to any of our friends that are visiting Memphis.

First of all Memphis was one of the most beautiful, friendly, affordable and cultural cities we've visited on our 6-week tour of the U.S. The tour was an excellent start of our two day visit. We were exposed to the basic culture and history of the city by the most entertaining and passionate tour guide. His singing and running commentary was upbeat and possitive. I would recommend this tour to all.

Thoroughly enjoyed the MOJO tour even though it started out a little wet. (air conditioner condenser dumped water on a couple in our group). Jake Fly was very entertaining and informative and the tour seemed to go by way too fast.

Have Fun With the Music History of Memphis!

We loved it! We love music and loved learning the music history of Memphis - we learned more about Elvis, the Blues, recording at Sun and Stax, etc. Our guide was very talented - a comedian, musician and all 'round nice guy. It was fun to participate - singing and playing the tamborine! It was energizing and when it ended - we were ready to hear more music on Beale Street! I absolutely recommend it to round out your Memphis Experience.

Memphis Jones was our tour guide and was a true fountain of information about Memphis. In his delivery of facts, you could tell he loves his city and it's musical history. He is also a really good entertainer with his singing and guitar playing. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and our guide. We also found that taking the individual tours after this one helped us more easily absorb all information given on those tours. Our tour day was a great day in Memphis!
