My family had not heard about the Memphis Mojo Tour until my wife picked up a brochure from the Peabody Hotel (we were watching the procession of ducks from the indoor pond...what a hoot!).
It was amazing, we were running a few minutes late and the tour accomodated us, by holding the bus until we arrived. We were then treated to what can only be best described as a rollicking concert an hour and a half long, by the one and only Memphis Jones, who entertained, informed and sang his way around the musical sights of Memphis.
I have never been on a more entertaining tour. Two criticisms....
1. Get the word out...our host in Memphis didn't know about your fabulous tours.
2. It is too cheap!

We had a blast!!! The kids got to play the bongos and tamberien with the band on the bus!!! They were the band!!! Excellent tour. Very informational and chalked full tid bits. Funniest history class we had ever had!!! Happy motoring!!!!!!!!!!! |

Tour Was good. Tour guide was informative and entertaining. But Memphis over all is in poor condition and run down. Beale St. was dirty and lots of people begging for money. My wife and I were approached several times which made us very uncomfortable. Would not return. |

It was 98 degrees out and the air conditioning was a mere warm breeze. I thought my husband and I were going to pass out. The entertainer was so-so, but he pointed out things to see and knew a lot about them. He also recommended a tip at the end of the your which I thought was tacky. |

Boring tour guide, no way!
My wife and I had a great time. Would recommend highly, especially to music fans. |

My mum, my 3 year old & myself went on the Backbeat Bus Tour with our compare Jake Fly & our shakers. We had a fun time driving round the city with Jake singing & filling us in with local music history & items of musical interest. We all enjoyed it & would recommend it to Memphis visitors as a way to see around the city if you don't have a car.
I would say that this is a music tour & the information given is only musical & no other history of the city was given but this didn't detract from the fun!
We would like to thank Jake for a fun 90 minutes in Memphis. |

WE THOROUGHLY ENJOYED OUR MOJO TOUR. MEMPHIS JONES IS SO INFORMATIVE, ENTERTAINING AND TALENTED. I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT THIS WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP. IT EMBODIED WHAT MEMPHIS IS ALL ABOUT AND GAVE US AN APPRECIATION OF THE CITY AND IT'S HISTORY. |

I figured we would ride around looking at different landmarks, as the description indicated. I didn't know we would have as much fun as we did. We learned a lot more about Memphis than we expected. And, had some fun doing it. We would take this tour again in a heartbeat. |

Our guide was Memphis Jones and he brought the history of Memphis music alive with his renditions of the many songs he performed while narrating the tour. We were accomanied by our 14 year old grandson and his friend. They were actively involved with each song and greatly enjoyed the information given about the people and music of Memphis (the city). We would definitely do the tour again |
