Memphis Mojo Tour: the Best of Memphis

I am so glad we took this tour. Many times I am leary of " touristy " type tours that are too "cheesy" but this one measured up to my expectations and beyond. It was a very enjoyable time. Memphis Jones knows his history and music! Don't hesitate to take the Memphis Mojo Tour! You won't be disappointed if you get Memphis Jones for your guide! I recommended this to a local, who was surprised we were so delighted with it. I hope he takes the tour and then brings all his out of town guests! The only negative was during the one stop we made, it was not long enough for us all to use the "facilities". So I would not necessarily bring anything to eat or drink next time!

Excellent tour guide, a young lady, Shinika(?), who was a fantastic musician, enthusiastic, and very knowledgeable about music and it's history. I would have liked a bit more information about some of the areas we were driving through. She told us about the significant spots, elvis childhood home, Johnny's home, location of studio's, etc., but we drove around a lot without anything being pointed out. She did entertain us with lots of music of the stars and was very good. Just a bit too much riding and not enough information. The entertainment was fun though!

We did not know what to expect and were delighted with the way the musical history of Memphis was portrayed by Memphis Jones. He is original, talented and passionate about Memphis and that is the kind of person you want selling your city.

Had a great time sightseeing on the bus and singing along with the guitar player!

We live in the Chicago land area and go down to Memphis about twice a year. We always take the Mojo Bus Tour because we enjoy it so much. The guide this time was the best ever. We are seldom dissapointed in the talent of the guides but I have to say that this one was exceptional.

We had a great time. We were in town for a short time, and we were looking for a tour that would give us a taste of the rich Memphis history. This tour fit the bill. Shekinah was an enthusiastic and talented tour guide, as well as a very good singer. All of our expectations were fulfilled, and we learned something.

Our host Nancy Apple was fabulous and made the tour interactive and fun! She provided so much insight and shared personal stories re: the Memphis music scene. My children (13yo & 3yo)said it was the best tour they have ever taken. My husband and I agree.

Our guide, Memphis Jones, was excellent! He was knowledgeable as well as entertaining!

Had a great tour the information was very informative and the entertainment on bus was great cant fault it. Loved the old bus which gave the tour a nostalgic feel. Also done Graceland trip sand Sun Studios. WELL Done Backbeat Keep it up!
