Not sure what to expect, but was AWESOME!!!

My husband and I were in town for the Alabama v. Ole Miss football game and decided we wanted to tour Memphis. We didn't know where to start, so we decided to take the Memphis Mojo tour and let them be our guide. Our tour guide was Memphis Jones and he, as well as the driver were AWESOME!! I have never had so much fun on a tour before. I didn't really know what to expect when the unconventional tour bus showed up, but once inside the entertainment and sightseeing was fantastic. We were able to see parts of Memphis that we could have never found by ourselves and the story-telling through music was like no other! We both were laughing and grinning the rest of the day and were still talking about the tour long after. IT IS A MUST WHILE IN MEMPHIS!!!! Thanks!

Good until sound system went out

Have been on this tour before, and it was fantastic! This time the tour guide was great and knowledgeable, but about 2/3 or the way through the tour his sound system went out and we could not hear anything at all -- so the last 1/3 of the tour was quite boring!

Very Informative

We did this tour Monday, Labor day, and highly recommend it. We've been to Memphis several times, have done the Graceland tour, Sun tour, and Beale Street, but this tour gives you so much information that you just don't get on your own. Memphis Jones is spontaneous, hilarious, and very well informed. You could sense how passionate he is about Memphis (the city). One thing that was so funny on our tour, Memphis was in his spiel as we drove by the Piggly Wiggly, and there was just this buzz that went through the bus. He just stopped what he was talking about, and gave us the history of the Piggly Wiggly. He covers it all!!

We had a lot of fun and lots of Memphis history was shared! Tour guide was entertaining and friendly as was the bus driver! The tour was culturally diverse, informative and economical. Would recommend to anyone who wants to see the city and learn more about the history of Memphis.

Lots of fun on this one. Gary Hardy did a great job as entertainer and historian. I had no idea the tour guides were this involved in the music scene, and Gary is a Memphis lifer which makes his insight and historical knowledge even more poignant.

Garry Hardy provided a very entertaining bus tour. It was very informative, interesting and fun. It was the best tour I have ever been on. It was money well spent.

Gary gave great insights into the historical streams that created the Memphis sound, from the cotton fields and the Blues to the rock and roll of Elvis and Jerry Lee.

Great fun for locals and out of towners

What fun. My wife and i are locals looking to entertain an out of town couple is how we found the "Blues Bus" This was as much fun as I have ever had with my clothes on. The musician on the bus kept up a lively line of chatter about local blues haunts as we drove and paused before them. He also sang and played Memphis Music all the while. Even though I was born and raised in Memphis I learned more about the Memphis Blues, Music scene than I learned all the years i lived here. The tour lasted about an hour and a half and the bus was very comfortable. This is really a great way to entertain out of towners.

This is a popular tour and with good reason: you get a lot of information with an enthusiastic tour guide and a good dose of music. Altogether worth it. About the only thing I'd improve on would be to have more time to take pictures along the way. The bus only really stops for Sun Studios where you get out and go inside Sun. The rest of the tour is "on the go" and you don't get many opportunities to take pictures...well, unless you have a camera that takes motion pictures well.
