Memphis Mojo Tour: the Best of Memphis

We had no idea what this would be like but we were in for a GREAT time!! We actually had a private tour due to cancellations which surprised us that the company didn't re-schedule our family!! The host, Memphis Jones, is a definite asset and needs a raise!! (He did not say to say that). He seemed to have somewhat of a program but then seemed to tailor it to fit us. We learned about music history, heard some great music sung by Memphis, saw some history of Memphis and learned some life lessons also. By the end of the tour, we were all laughing and singing along with the music. On this vacation, we stayed 3 days in Memphis and 4 in Nashville-the whole family agreed this was the best thing we did!! I don't know if we will ever go back to Memphis but if we do, we will be on the bus!!! And will definitely tell others!

we were out of state from texas and i booked this tour just by closing my eyes and picking and i am so glad we did we loved it our tour guide was so much and informative, very talented. i highly reccomend this tour we saw things i didn't expect to see we also had two stops for a ptty break and shopping they were a five min stop but a stop npne the less!!!

We really enjoyed the tour.Memphis Jones was the best,lots of information,singing and fun.The driver stops so you can get pictures.This was the highlight of our trip to Memphis.Thanks Backbeat.

This was a wonderful tour. Our tour guide, Memphis Jones, showed such a great passion for his city and the music it has produced. As we drove up to the Lorraine Hotel, he was singing "Sitting at the Dock of the Bay." Awe inspiring! I would recommend this tour to anyone that is visiting Memphis.

The Mojo tour is an entertaining and informative tour of many Memphis highlights. I would have marked 5 stars had the tour been on the usual Mojo bus, but apparently the bus was in the shop, and our tour had to be taken on a standard "for hire" small tour bus... I think that disrupted the trip a bit. But the guide was great- a good singer and knowledgeable/friendly.

We thought the people associated with the tour (E.G.) bus driver and narrator were good. The buildings they pointed out and talked about were hard to see and keep up with the verbage sometimes. Still it was a nice tour but the bus A/C wasn't up to par on a hot day. Tootsies was nice and the music was nice and the information was heeped on us. We'd still recommend the tour but dress cool.

I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys music and history. The tour was fun and informative. The tour guide kept everything going and really knew what he was talking about. Time flew and the 90 minute tour was over before we knew it.

Memphis Jones is an entertaining and informative tour guide. Be prepared to sing along to some great 50's tunes!

My husband and I enjoyed this tour very much! The "musical" tour guide, Memphis Jones was so informative and very entertaining. He had a passion for Memphis, TN and the "Blues", and this only made the tour that much more enjoyable. We would highly recommend this tour to all.

We really enjoyed the experience. Our tour guide, Tennessee Tom, was very knowledgeable and a good musician. The concept allowed us to be entertained by local music and learn about the history of the city and it's music. What a great idea!
