There were 4 of us and we all loved the Backbeat Tours! We laughed, sang, clapped, whistled and smiled the entire 1.5 hours! We would do it again in a heartbeat! Money well worth spent! Memphis Jones was the best!!!! |

This tour was so much fun! Our tour guide, Memphis Jones, kept the music rolling and provided us with lots of interesting stories about Memphis and it's famous musicians. We got a great overview of the city and were able to deside what we wanted to see more in depth. I would highly recommend this tour as the first stop on your itenerary. |

My husband is a keyboard player, so I thought this would be a good tour for him. If you love music, and music is why you've come to Memphis, I highly recommend this tour. I would add that it is the ONLY tour I have ever signed up for, because in general we prefer to explore cities on our own. It was really alot of fun. |

The tour was the highlight of our visit to Memphis. Our tour guide and resident musician Memphis Jones was talented, knowledgeable and very personable and interactive with the tourists. Our driver was also very skillful in navigating us around the city whom our tour guide noted had the worst drivers in the world. I would take the tour again if i return to Memphis. |

Kathryn was the best guide we have ever had on a tour. We really enjoyed her voice and her sweet demeanor. Would recommend tour to anyone going to Memphis. |

We only did the 1 1/2 hr tour but it was great !
Would definitely recommend it.
Our guide seemed well informed about Memphis history - music and about the town.
We loved the entertainment ! |

I recommend this tour for anyone visiting the Memphis area. Everyone was cheerful and helpful. I learned a lot of information about the city of Memphis. The guide and the bus driver were very friendly and entertaining. Memphis Jones has a great personality and made the tour a delightful trip thru the city. |

We expected a little bit more music performance during the tour to give it a five star. It was a little bit too much facts to start with but it improved towards the end with the balance between facts and music. The tour could also been extended with maybe 30 minitues to be able to step out of the bus (leg stretcher) and step into the entrance of the Stax museum and Civil rights museum as well as we did at SUN. -Just to promote the local attractions a little bit more.
Unfortunatelly we where only 9 people on the bus (which you can't do anything about) that didn't give that intimate feeling which it could have done if the bus would have been a little bit more crowded.
Anyway guide for the trip and concept is excellent. |
