We had a fantastic time with Memphis Jones as our tour leader. Entertaining and informative, it was just the right thing to get our bearing in Memphis and understand some of the amazing history. We sang songs and played instruments and had a thoroughly enjoyable time! Well recommended.

Lots of fun on this one. Gary Hardy did a great job as entertainer and historian. I had no idea the tour guides were this involved in the music scene, and Gary is a Memphis lifer which makes his insight and historical knowledge even more poignant.

Best Tour Ever!!!

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Memphis as it showcased the culture, history, music, geography and magic of the city. Our tour guide, Gary Hardy, provided detailed and interesting facts through his own research and experiences. He knew many of the legends and could play their music flawlessly. We will take this tour again if we get back to Memphis in the future.

Great Intro to Memphis Music!

Gary gave great insights into the historical streams that created the Memphis sound, from the cotton fields and the Blues to the rock and roll of Elvis and Jerry Lee.

Gary made this tour! No one could tell all these stories with the personal touches he adds. Any other guide would just be telling you stories they've learned, Gary has lived them. Thanks to Gary for saving Sun Records! Gary, you should shoot a documentary history for PBS, it would be wonderful. The local PBS TV station should partner with you to do a detailed historical story, much like "Eyes on the Prize". There's a local historian in Louisville, KY named Tom Owens and he has done a series of DVDs of the history of different neighborhoods in Louisville, and he doesn't have 1/2 the material you shared on just a 90 minute tour. He could probably give guidance as well. Thanks for a great tour, I wish we'd had 4 hours!
