Memphis Mojo Tour: the Best of Memphis

This was a good tour with lots of interaction required (we got to be the band on the bus). We wouldn't have gone to these places had we not gone on this tour.

The MOJO bus tour was awesome! It had the perfect mix of facts with entertainment! Our guide was sensational and kept us interested!

We took the tour on Saturday, March 15th. Our tour guide was Nora and she was very friendly and gave an informative and interesting tour. We learned a lot about Memphis music history and she had some great Elvis information too. I would recommend doing Graceland and Sun Studios first for more in depth information and then on the next day or the day after, I would definitely recommend taking the Memphis Mojo tour to fill in some of the extra tidbits to add onto what we already knew. It was fun being on the old Miss Clawdy bus and I felt that it also gave you a feeling that you were reliving a part of history. Thanks for a great tour!

WOW! Memphis Jones really knows his stuff!! Great tour guide and he truly loves what he does. I decided to book this tour because of all the great reviews I had read and I am so glad we went. Very informative, we learned so much about the history of the music in Memphis and the happenings that took place "back in the day" . It was so much fun, and the bus driver was super nice too! My sister and I were in town for the weekend and thought this would be a great way to spend a couple hours. The tour guide, Daniel, was funny and knew what he was describing to us. Really get the group involved.

Only had a short time to spend in Memphis but were so glad we chose this tour! Loved the live music and the entertaining commentary as we learned about the history of blues and rock and roll in Memphis. (Even better if you have an enthusiastic group on the bus with you. ) Tour provides omfortable seating on air conditioned bus at a leisurely pace through downtown Memphis. We took the first tour in the morning which gave us time to see Beale Street, buy some souvenirs, and then eat lunch after the tour ended before continuing our trip. If you have more time, I am sure the longer tour would be great.

The tour was both entertaining & enlightening. We learned a lot about the history of Memphis music, the influences on music, & really enjoyed ourselves in the process. Excellent time & money well spent.

Good overview of Memphis. Guide (I can't think of his name) was a young musician who did great job of covering the relevant Memphis music which is a big part of the tour and ambience. From Johnny Cash to Otis Redding.
