The tour was great, the tour guide (musician) was fabulous. I never knew 90 minutes could fly by so fast! Absolutely worth every penny. Don't go to Memphis without taking this tour.

The tour was fun, fun, fun, and informative. My only complaint is that it was too short. Fun for kids and adults alike.

We have traveled a great deal and taken many tours - this is the best of them all! Memphis Jones was our host and he was wonderful. His enthusiam was infectious. The only change I would recommend would be for the tour to be longer. When in Memphis again we will take this tour for a second time. We loved it and highly recommend this tour to others!

This is a musical tour of Memphis - the tour guide is a musician who plays instruments and sings songs by early Memphis artists. Very entertaining. I enjoyed the tour.

Great tour showing history of city

The tour was well done. The guide was very knowledgeable and fun. He couldn't carry a tune, but it was still a lot of fun. We love hearing about the history of the city and this was real informative. I would've rated it 5 star had I not already done the Sun Studio tour (really great tour) because about 1/3 of the mojo tour was a repeat of the nostalgia we heard at Sun Studio.

Fast Paced and Entertaining

Our Backbeat Mojo Tour of Memphis ROCKED (and 'countryed' and souled...). Our host, Memphis Jones, was entertaining, weaving local sights and sounds with lesser-known trivia about the celebrities we wanted to hear about. The mix of stories, sights and personal reflections made for an entertaining afternoons adventure. We even got to participate in informal sing-alongs as we hard about the origins of the many songs that were born in the common looking corners of the city. And even the not-so common corners. Our host reminded us that the Lorraine Motel hosted many musical guests before it became the place where the world lost Dr King. One warning: you need to set aside more than the 1.5 hours advertised. We spent over two hours, and would have been happy to stay on the bus for another two.

Best Tour Ever!

The Memphis Mojo Tour was the best tour I've ever been on! Our tour guide was Memphis Jones, and he was fabulous. He told jokes and stories well, knew his material and how to present it in an interesting way, and is a very talented musician and singer. As I told him, I was a music major and I never had a music history course like that! I would have made all A's had they been that intriguing! Howard, the bus driver, stopped at all the right places and was a perfect gentleman. And the price is a bargain-- I would have paid double, knowing how good this tour is. The only thing I would change is letting people on the bus before the tour starts (it was steaming hot) and turning the air condition up a little.

The best time in Memphis!

We took the Memphis Mojo tour with our kids, ages 11 and 15. Our tour guide Jay was funny, insightful, and really knew the history of the tour stops. The tour stops at various spots through town and a lot of what you learn are the not so well known facts, the real gems about the people. This trip is a blast, if you don't enjoy it, you don't have a pulse!
