I was initially put off by the ticket price, but it was well worth it. We learmed nuch more about memphis and the music scene than we would have otherwise. the tour guide was great, both as a musician and an entertainer. This was truly the highlight of our trip to Memphis!

We had a blast. Memphis Jones is beyond words, but I'll try...hilarious, unbelievably talented (he really needs a record deal...maybe at Sun?) and the best tour guide ever. I learned a lot and even got to play the tambourine! Everybody will love this tour. Can't think of a better way to spend 90 minutes in Memphis. Kathryn Harrison

This bus tour was so much fun! It traveled throughout Memphis sharing hot spots in Memphis music history. Our tour guide, aptly named Memphis, was phenomenal. He was a great singer and knew all the tidbits of information. I would highly recommend this tour--five stars to Miss Clawdy and her gang!

While I have only lived in the Memphis area for just less than a year, I would suggest this tour to those who have lived here all their lives. I had family in for the Christmas holiday and went looking for fun things to do with them and found the Backbeat tour. Our tour guide was very informative and kept things lively. When hearing that we would be part of the entertainment during the trip, I wasn't sure I would enjoy it, but the Backbeat gang really get you involved and it adds so much to the experience. There is a lot of history in Memphis that I don't think most of the locals know about. When I shared what all we saw on the tour and what we had heard with the people I work with, most of whom have lived here all their lives, the most common response I heard was, "Wow, I didn't know that." Well worth the money for anyone. My family said they really felt like they had seen Memphis. They talked about it the rest of their trip.

We had a wonderfiul time. The "tour guide" was insightful and talented. He sang and really made the tour come alive. We loved the history, music and taking part in the instrument part. We brought along grandparents and young children from out of town and all seemed to enjoy. Thanks for a great memory.

Thanksgiving 2008 we decided to vacation in Memphis. I have to say, in all honesty, this tour was the highlight of the vacation. Memphis has a lot of music history, (and of course Elvis), but we went there mainly to experience Beale Street and the Blues. Unfortunately, I was not overly impressed with the music, nearly every venue charged a cover, the drinks were underpoured and over priced, and the food was only mediocre. However, the Backbeat Tour was awesome. We were entertained by Memphis Jones, who is very talented and was loaded with historical knowledge. The tour departed right on Beale Street, which made it easy to find. We took the morning tour and it included the Sun Studios tour. It was excellent. I would recommend this tour to everyone, including children. If there would be one thing in Memphis you should not miss, it is this! I Back in Milwaukee Again

Found the tour to be quite upbeat and informative. Really enjoyed learning the history of Memphis music. The leader I thought did a great job of keeping the people involved and really enjoyed his informal style. I would heartily recommend the tour to others.
