Memphis Mojo Tour: the Best of Memphis

Had the greatest time. Driver was wonderful and the singer. Got a good tour of the city

The tour was really enjoyable for us and (shockingly) our kids. Memphis really knows his stuff, but gives the tour in a way that's extremely entertaining, so you don't feel like you're being lectured. We went through a good chunk of the city (from what I know) and got some unusual photo ops. The only recommendation I have is if you stop at Staxx, buy something...we didn't know til after we got back on the bus that part of the proceeds go towards a good cause.

My friend and I took the Memphis Mojo tour when I flew up to Memphis. It was an awesome experience. We learned about the history of the music in Memphis. The tour guide played the music throughout the tour. It was a blast. He knew his history was a great singer. He was extremely entertaining. The best part was that we got to play along with him. It was right up my alley!! I would recommend this tour to anyone!

elvis opened for slim whitman?? johnny cash lived here?? elvis lived a block away from bb king as school kids?? so many interesting facts on this tour that most memphians aren't aware of.. great job of storytelling combined with timely music.. very fun experience that more locals should enjoy.

I really enjoyed the tour. It was nice to have someone tell you about the history of the town and the artists who have come and go. Our tourguide was enthusiastic and very nice. The music he chose to sing was nice as well. i wish that we could have been on the bus longer (aside form the fact it was very hot), and I would love to do another tour where we could get out once in a while to take pictures. I would recommend anyone who has a love of music to do this tour.

Highly recommended spotlight of Memphis! Backbeat Tours did not disappoint us, it was fun, entertaining, and packed full of facts! Memphis Jones was our musician and guide...not only was he an accomplished artiist, but he shared his wealth of Memphis history on a personal level that was very easy to follow and remember.

The tour was fun and entertaining. My teenage girls really enjoyed it.

I absolutely loved the tour. It was not what I had been expecting it to be, but was much better! The guide, appropriately named "Memphis" was friendly, funny, and very knowledgable! It may have been the only tour of a city I have definately take, but it was definately the best tour ever! It was the highlight of my trip and I would definately bring back more friends and do it again! Woohoo!

My family lives in the local area and this was the second Memphis Mojo Tour we've taken. On our first tour we went with some other local area friends and relatives who were visiting from out of town. We thoroughly enjoyed our ride on the 1950's era bus and our musical tour guide was fantastic. When we recently had more out of town guests to entertain we though we'd give it another try, fully realizing it probably would not be as much fun or as good as the first time. We were pleasantly surprised to find out it was just as much fun and the guide just as entertaining! Would definitely recommend to locals or visitors. A must-do, off-beat (you never know who's going to be playing in the rhythm section) fun time!
