| Highly recommended spotlight of Memphis! Backbeat Tours did not disappoint us, it was fun, entertaining, and packed full of facts! Memphis Jones was our musician and guide...not only was he an accomplished artiist, but he shared his wealth of Memphis history on a personal level that was very easy to follow and remember. | ||||||

| We very much enjoyed the tour, Memphis Jones, our tour guide, was very entertaining and very knowledgeable about the sights we saw on the tour. This was a group of four people, two who have moved to the area during the past year, and two visitors from our previous home in Iowa. We enjoyed our time immensely and will recommend to future visitors that we include this as part of their visit. | ||||||

| Nancy Apple was our tour guide and we were able to speak with her before the bus ride. She seems to put capital letters on the word hospitable. We enjoyed riding through Memphis traffic instead of navigating our own way. Our bus driver got an A for effort in finding the reverse gear after trying to leave sun studios. The seats on the bus are not for long legged people so the stop was much appreciated. The windows even though they represent nostalgia, somewhat diminish the view. The tour allows for photos whenever you feel you need time to snap off a few. We enjoyed the singing and audience participation. We would advise anyone to take this very affordable and informative and fun tour! One member of our group was born and raised in Memphis but has been gone from there for 40yrs and she learned many facts she didn't know before. Thank You Mojo Tours for even existing!!!! Great way to ride to Graceland

| We did not have a rental car for that day and this was a perfect way to get to Graceland and back. The musician was entertining, the driver was very informed and fun. Would definitely recommend. Cool restored bus took me back to childhood in downtown Denver. | ||||||

| This was my second tour with Memphis Jones!! He is awesome. As a huge music lover, I assumed I knew all there was to know in regards to memphis music. Memphis Jones proved me wrong. I learned so much. He was so entertaining and I laughed the whole time!!! I will send everyone I know downtown to take the Memphis Mojo Tour with Memphis Jones!!! | ||||||

| I only live an hour and a half from Memphis and have spent an unusual amount of time in Memphis, yet had never done this tour. Actually, I thought it would be kind of lame, for somewhat of a local, to spend the time and money. Only after I saw their high rating on Trip Advisor, did I suggest to my wife that we should do the tour and it was the highlight of our recent time on Beale Street. Memphis Jones was our entertainer/tour guide. He knew the history of the Memphis area and was one of the more gifted entertainers I have seen anywhere ... not to mention, just flat out personable. If you have doubt about doing the Mojo Tour ... go ahead and jump on board ... you should have a blast! | ||||||

| My daughter and I really enjoyed the tour she is 14 and we are into history and ghosts so it was very interesting. Our tour guide was also from around the area so along with the ghost stories we also got some history as well. My favorite part was walking through the back alleys and looking at the old buildings, its one thing to just look at them but to know the importance to the history of Memphis we kind of got some inside stories, would highly recommend it. A side note: As we were standing outside the apartment building where a recent murder occurred I felt a tug on the back of my jacket -- adjusting my clothes thinking it was my purse catching on something, looking behind me a couple of times -- a minute later it happened again -- I didn't say anything -- I really thought it was my imagination but when I tried to duplicate the feeling by pulling on my jacket myself -- I couldnt do it without my collar going with it -- now I really think someone was trying to get my attention -- pretty cool... I am wondering if I am the only one? | ||||||

| The Guide (sorry, I didn't get her name) was an extremely nice lady, but not much of a story teller. She talked more about touring the differnent places with Jake and her personal experiances than telling the story. She has potential to be a great ghost tour guide. For instance, she began telling the story how she and Jake were researching locations and came upon this old resturaunt they thought might be haunted. When eating, they asked their waitress, who took them to the butcher. She described how he grunted and grunted then finally led them down a long hallway to an empty room, where she saw a shadow. She spent several minutes describing this encounter with the butcher and lost us for the history and happenings of the site. A ghost tour guide should also be a good story teller. Weaveing the history and happenings together to peak interest and give the crowd a chill. | ||||||

| The stories were captivating, especially the ones involving a known individual - Orpheum and Gayoso apartment. I wish we were able to visit some of the haunted spaces. The ad stated we would join a guide with lantern to tour the area. Obviously, the lantern wasn't necessary, but a period costume would have been a nice touch, especially since the mid to late 1800s seemed to be the most active source of spirits. My granddaughter is still talking about the tour. | ||||||

| I fully enjoyed the tour that Backbeat Tours provides to Graceland. I knew that if we had gone to Graceland on our own, it would have cost considerably more to park, take the tour and eat while we were there. The tour guide not only made the bus ride over to Graceland from Beale Street enjoyable, but we all sang and played instruments as his personal rhythm section...WHAT FUN! I would recommend Backbeat Tours to anyone visiting Memphis. | ||||||
