Backbeat Tours

What made the tour fun was the enthusiasm of our guide. He was knowledgeable and was more than willing to let us share ghost stories of our own. We learned more about Memphis and the tour was just the right length, both time and distance. I would recommend this tour to friends and tourists.

we had a great time on the tour. the young lady leading the tour was alot of fun and brought along a great attitude and was very amusing. wish we could have gone inside more than one place but it was still a great time. i even shared it with four co-workers who now want to take the tour. :)

My friends and I went on the tour this past Saturday night, and we had a great time. Our tour guide did a great job- she really knew her stuff, and she made the tour a lot of fun. Great job! :)

We went a group of friends, all of us with our spouses. We are all grad students in Memphis and thought this would be a fun activity on Halloween. We were disappointed that we did not go in any of the buildings except for one restaurant. We also thought the guide would be dressed up for Halloween and be a little scarier. He was funny, but there wasn't anything scary about the tour. It was fun to see the city, but definitely not worth the price

The ghost tour was excellent! Our guide Jessica was very enthusiatic and knowledgable. I thought that I knew a lot about Memphis Architecture and history, but she told us stuff that I had never heard before. It is a well planned and well researched tour that I would recommend to locals and visitors alike.

Would have been nicer if we actually entered more buildings. Our tour guide was great.

There wasn't much to it - nothing scary or supernatural like.

This was good, clean fun for a Saturday night. Nice for a group of friends. Not very exciting but a pleasant distraction.

the guide was animated and fun and had a great deal of patience with a drunk female in the group, who insisted on interrupting him i felt our group (i think there were 20) was a little large to hear well, and had to kind of jockey to get close to the guide he was very well informed and had an excellent sense of humor, quick on his feet the only thing i would change is not having the initial talk in front of the kiosk, as there is a loudspeaker there that plays music from inside the club; we could not hear a word he was saying

The tour was fun, although the other two members of my group and I had some issues with the inclusion of the Gayoso apartment. First of all, the information was incorrect. The murder was in 2003 (not 1998, as stated on the tour) and the murder was solved shortly after (we were told that it was never solved). Secondly, that story was a little too scary, especially since we were told that it was family friendly. Overall, the tour was interesting and fun and I would recommend it, although after noticing the incorrect facts mentioned above, it was hard to believe the rest of the information.

I enjoyed this tour. The tour guide was very informative, and made it fun. I found out things about downtown that I didn't know.

Memphis has so much history and Backbeat does a great job protraying it. The tour guide was informative. It is kind of like a walking history tour with ghosts. It is not scary just interesting. I felt very safe walking around downtown.

if you are looking for something a little more serious, then this isn't a good tour. If you are drunk and want to waste 20 bucks. Go for it. You learn about so called haunted spots around downtown, but that's it. for 5 dollars and a free beer, I say go. Otherwise, no.

I was not at all as pleased with the Ghost Walk as I thought. It was more a glorified history lesson on legs!! I am not upset that I did it, just for the simple fact that I can write it down as something that I got to experience. I was a little embarrassed that I asked friends to come along as a part of my birthday celebrations!
