What a fun tour!

| This tour was nothing like other tours we've taken. The whole bus was rocking and rolling while we sang our way through Memphis and played instruments to accompany our tour guide, Memphis Jones. Our tour guide was a great guitar player and singer and had a true passion for the history of Memphis. We felt we heard many personal details of the music of Memphis that we wouldn't have heard on a traditional tour. This was so much fun and we would highly recommend it to others. And on top of that the price was reasonable for the time spent. We had a ball! | ||||||

| At first, I was REALLY disappointed in the tour. We couldn't hear our guide and we THOUGHT we would actually get to go into the haunted locations. But, we started snapping pictures of locations that we "felt" had activity. AND CAUGHT SOMETHING!!! After showing it to the guide and other tourists, we got into the walk. But stopped paying attention to the guide. I should have been the one to get paid. | ||||||

| This is what Memphis is all about!! We had a great time. The tour guide was great!! The tour was fun and exciting at all times. We were one big happy family on one great bus. | ||||||

| I wouldn't recommend this tour. Having taken a number of ghost tours in different cities around the globe this one ranks towards the bottom. The guide was entertaining but appeared to be in a hurry to get somewhere after work. I couldn't recount any real details of the ghost stories he told us. It was more along the lines of "Here's a theater. A girl died here after being struck in the street. Let's move along..." Hate to be negative, but either find some more interesting ghosts, add details to the haunts, or cancel this tour altogether. | ||||||

| Our group of 4 adults and 5 children between the ages of 5 and 15 went on the Memphis Mojo Tour last weekend, all I can say is from the minute we entered Miss Clawdy (the bus) we knew we had made a great decision. The energy, talent, and knowlege of Memphis Jones made this tour a fantastic, one of a kind experience. Without a doubt I would highley recommend Backbeat tours as a great way to see and learn more about Memphis Music, where it all started! | ||||||

| if you are looking for something a little more serious, then this isn't a good tour. If you are drunk and want to waste 20 bucks. Go for it. You learn about so called haunted spots around downtown, but that's it. for 5 dollars and a free beer, I say go. Otherwise, no. | ||||||

| I was not at all as pleased with the Ghost Walk as I thought. It was more a glorified history lesson on legs!! I am not upset that I did it, just for the simple fact that I can write it down as something that I got to experience. I was a little embarrassed that I asked friends to come along as a part of my birthday celebrations! | ||||||

| It is not worth the price. The tour guide was corny and I left very dissappointed. It started off bad and ended even worse. There nothing that will make me take this tour again | ||||||

| Booked the tour via internet because it sounds interesting and I didn't know where to go in Memphis. Could do this by our own, but it's a long work and for sure we will miss some interesting places. So we went at 10 a.m. to the bus at Beale Street. Not much people there but they start the tour nevertheless with full enthusiasm. First they give us some music instruments telling that we are part of the tour. I never had so much fun on a sightseeing tour. I actually was part of the tour and more: I felt like a part of Memphis. The tour guide ("Memphis Jones") was like an almanach of all the interesting things happend in Memphis. For every little story he knows he sings a song. Tremendous job! Carry on, Memphis Jones! There was a new bus driver, who misses the way in two situation, but it was our luck! Memphis Jones thanked him for taking a detour, and on this additional way we saw and heard even more storys. Memphis Jones told us, that we became a very special tour. It was pure fun. If I would come another time to Memphis, I definitively would take a tour by backbeat tours, I can tell you. So, thank you so much for the nice day and all the informations you gave us, it blew my mind. It was the best sightseeing tour I ever made! Take care Stephan | ||||||

| This was a cool little walk around downtown. Being from Memphis, I enjoyed hearing about the history of my city- yellow fever epidemic, what buildings were used for in the past, etc. I was a little disappointed we didn’t get to go in more buildings, but if you are looking for an interesting time killer of something to do in Memphis, this is a nice alternative to the regular downtown Beale scene. When it comes to real ghosts, I'm a skeptic so I can only say that the stories were very interesting, the guide was enthusiastic and I was intrigued. It’s worth the time spent, whether you are a local looking for some history of your town or a tourist killing time. I thoroughly enjoyed it. | ||||||

| I don't believe in ghost stories, but the tour was still entertaining. We learned about some of Memphis's history. We saw a couple buildings we wouldn't have known about except for the tour. We had a large group on our tour, probably 25 or so. Our guide was very knowledgeable. | ||||||
