Loved being part of the "band" with our shakers, tambourines, and bongos. Jake Fly, our Tour Guide, was highly entertaining as well as informative. He kept the sights relavant with his choices of music and humor. And he kept his audience amused throughout the tour. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Back Beat Tour to everyone.

The tour went very smooth. Started on time and finished on time. The MC was a young man that could play the gitar very well and he could sing a variety of songs. I would recommend the tour to anyone.

A very informative,educational, fun and entertaining hour and a half in a comfortable reconditioned old bus. Sing along with the tourguide if you wish ,or use noisemakers to accompany his guitarplaying.

Had a great time - very enjoyable - great value. "Memphis Jones" leads the tour with music and sing-alongs and is a wealth of historical information on Memphis and its music . His enthusiasm is contageous - all on board were thoroughly entertained and informed. Definitely a "MUST DO!" when in Memphis.

This was a fun tour that visited five supposedly haunted sites. We didn't actually see any ghosts, but pictures taken in the alley do show mysterious circles of light that we did not see ourselves. Jessica was enthusiastic and had lots of good tales of Memphis history and hauntings. The walk is easy and family friendly. It is defintely worth doing while in downtown Memphis.

This fellow was fantastic. Talented in music as well as a "real people" guide. He MADE the tour. I don't know what his plans are after he graduates, but I would hope you could keep him on even if casual. guests from Canada

We had a great time on this tour. Great for age group ranging from teens to seniors.

We completely enjoyed the tour. We, being in our 60's remember vividly all those great singers who got there start in Memphis. Remembering listening to their records on the radio, on our 45's or watching them on T.V. You have a wonderful city and we will be sure and tell all of our friends and family to visit you. The tour guide who was a 20 something college student was delightful and funny---we enjoyed his songs even though he was not the best singer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guitar player was enthusiastic and did a great job. Maybe a little more history would have made it even better.

My husband and I went on this tour on Friday, Oct. 16. I enjoyed it very much and so did my husband...at least after he finished complaining that there was no place to sit while we were waiting for the tour to begin. We took the Stax Museum tour and thought it was very interesting. We had an hour for the museum and still could have used more time there. The tour guide was excellent, held our attention and seemed to know what he was talking about. He was a good singer also. This tour also showed us some of Memphis that we otherwise wouldn't have seen. The only complaint that I have is that I wish the tour had been longer, would have liked to have seen more of the city. And I definitely wish there had been more time for the guide to sing. I didn't get to hear enough of his music. A much longer tour (with time for a lunch in a bar-b-que restaurant too) would have been just perfect.

The bus was late picking us up, but the tour director, Jake, made up for it. The girl at the booth gave everyone a small refund to make up for starting late. I sure didn't expect that. Nothing was left out of the tour; in fact, he had arranged a private tour of Sun Records since we missed the tour we had been scheduled to take. Jake was entertaining, knowledgeable, and exceptionally accommodating!! He made sure everyone had a good time.

Our tour gide was a blast. He told us a lot of unkown stories about Elvis and sang the songs (very well) to illustrate. We had a great time. Be sure to add the Sun Studios tour when you go. John from CA

Memphis Jones was extraordinary!!!!!!!! The only problem encountered with the tour was that it ended so soon. I would sign up for a 3 hour tour in a heart beat. Excellent value, good company, and highly recommended.
