| Booked the tour via internet because it sounds interesting and I didn't know where to go in Memphis. Could do this by our own, but it's a long work and for sure we will miss some interesting places. So we went at 10 a.m. to the bus at Beale Street. Not much people there but they start the tour nevertheless with full enthusiasm. First they give us some music instruments telling that we are part of the tour. I never had so much fun on a sightseeing tour. I actually was part of the tour and more: I felt like a part of Memphis. The tour guide ("Memphis Jones") was like an almanach of all the interesting things happend in Memphis. For every little story he knows he sings a song. Tremendous job! Carry on, Memphis Jones! There was a new bus driver, who misses the way in two situation, but it was our luck! Memphis Jones thanked him for taking a detour, and on this additional way we saw and heard even more storys. Memphis Jones told us, that we became a very special tour. It was pure fun. If I would come another time to Memphis, I definitively would take a tour by backbeat tours, I can tell you. So, thank you so much for the nice day and all the informations you gave us, it blew my mind. It was the best sightseeing tour I ever made! Take care Stephan | ||||||

| This was a cool little walk around downtown. Being from Memphis, I enjoyed hearing about the history of my city- yellow fever epidemic, what buildings were used for in the past, etc. I was a little disappointed we didn’t get to go in more buildings, but if you are looking for an interesting time killer of something to do in Memphis, this is a nice alternative to the regular downtown Beale scene. When it comes to real ghosts, I'm a skeptic so I can only say that the stories were very interesting, the guide was enthusiastic and I was intrigued. It’s worth the time spent, whether you are a local looking for some history of your town or a tourist killing time. I thoroughly enjoyed it. | ||||||

| I don't believe in ghost stories, but the tour was still entertaining. We learned about some of Memphis's history. We saw a couple buildings we wouldn't have known about except for the tour. We had a large group on our tour, probably 25 or so. Our guide was very knowledgeable. | ||||||

| The Hound Dog Tour of Elvis Presley's Memphis was both enjoyable and informative. Participants got to see sights that are not generally included in other tours, including the projects where Elvis lived as a teen, where he attended high school, and the home of one of his first "flames." The on board entertainment was superb, and the leader was very well versed in the story behind Elvis and his rise to stardom. That background, along with the tour of Sun Studios, gave a fairly complete overview of Elvis "away from the cameras." It is a must for anyone who has a fondness for history, and is a genuine Elvis fan!! | ||||||

| This tour was very informative as well as a lot of fun. Our tour guide was Fly and he was great. We saw a lot of Memphis that we would not have seen had we been on our own. One of us used a walker and the tour was very accomadating for us. | ||||||

| This was a wonderful introduction to the musical capital of the USA. We joined in by playing musical instruments, the interaction was great fun and we learnt loads about the history of music in Memphis. Our guide was brilliant and we could not have found a better excursion for our first day in Memphis. | ||||||

| Everyone loved the tour. I thought we were doing it for the kids, but the adults had just as much fun, and it was a great way to see parts of the city that we would not have seen otherwise. | ||||||
