The tour pointed out historical sites with explainations of memphis musical legends and songs from the artists along the way. The tour was fun and well presented by a talented guitarist.

We were a bit skeptical at first but had a few locals tell us it was a must. They were right! Our tour guide was deeply imbedded into the local scene. His past experiences that he blended into the story of the history of Memphis and the blues was great. Not a scripted tour. He was a storyteller. If you are in Memphis do this! A great value too.

This was our second time on the tour (and maybe the last one). The first time, we had a great time with Memphis Jones as our guide. I am originally from another country and the first time we went on the tour, I took my mom on the tour who does not speak English at all. Based on the reviews, I decided that there would be a lot of music, and I would be able to translate the rest. And this was exactly what happened. Memphis Jones is very talented, and we REALLY ENJOYED the tour. Last Saturday, we had visitors from Israel. The first thing that came to our mind was to go to Memphis and take the Mojo tour. However, this time we had a different experience because we had a different guide. The tour was Ok, and he sang nicely not a lot though. We heard a buch of names and it was difficult to imagine what the music was like. Sometimes the examples were provided (this made a whole a lot of difference). Overall, it was boring for our guests. It might be very interesting for people who are experts of musical history of those times. I understood that the guide's whole career was in music in Memphis, which is nice. However, I think that he went a bit overboard with self-promotion. I am not sure if I am ever going on this tour myself again. If I am sure that Memphis Jones is going to be my guide, I might still take my international visitors on a tour.

The tour was fun and informative...made me realize what I did not know about music I have listened to all my life. Inspired me to learn more about the people responsible for the music and the region that produced so many talented artists.

I really enjoyed this trip, however, I do have a few suggestions. I have been on several ghost tours through out the country and I really enjoy them. This one was good but would benefit from having a few more stories and maybe being just a little creepier. I did really love the interactive portion of being able to take pictures and look for "orbs" this was very fun and the first time I had experience and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend this to anyone going to Memphis.

Tons of fun, music, and history. In between all the singing and laughing, we learned so much about Memphis. Well worth the ticket price.

The highlight of my Memphis vacation. Memphis Jones jampacked 150 years of Memphis music history into a jammin' 90 minute bus ride from Rock and Roll Heaven! The sacred sites of song were lovingly balanced by the soul stirring tunes, as we all sang along and kept the beat with instruments provided. If music is a passion, then this is the event to experience. We couldn't stop talking about it and told our fellow travelers, hotel guests AND the staff and locals how much fun we had on the funky bus from Backstreet Tours. Hallelujah! We just loved it so! Thanks so much and we are coming back next year for more.....!!

This was a most interesting tour, delivered by a knowledgeable and fun leader. The only disappointment was that she was dressed in shorts and sandals; I expected a costume of old-fashioned clothes and a lantern -- now that would have really added to the mood and experience!

We enjoyed the bus trip tremendously. We had already visited a number of the sites on the tour, but the stories and songs really tied things together.

We had an awesome time on the tour! Memphis is such a fun town to do this in.We were able to spot a few "orbs" on camera which added to the excitement. Would highly recommend!!

My church mission group of 7 women from Kansas City, MO took this tour and we had a ball! Memphis Jones was a great tour guide and very entertaining. He kept things lively and is a great singer! We were all so glad we decided to take this tour and recommend it to everyone!

Great fun with lots of "insider" information.

The Memphis Mojo Tour was awesome! Memphis Jones was entertaining, informative and fun. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Memphis or even locals. Definitelly worth $25 and then some.

A group of us went on tour in Dec with Memphis Jones serving as the entertainer and it was so much fun. He combined great musical abilities with his historical knowledge of Memphis music scene as well as other notable facts about Memphis. I took the tour again this past weekend and was disappointed because it was not nearly as informative or fun. I felt as if our guide was singing or playing for his own enjoyment rather than for his audience. He seemed to be compelled to sing every last note of a song when the time could have been spent playing/singing parts of a song and then sharing information. I learned so much more the first time and the whole atmoshpere was more upbeat when Memphis Jones led the tour. So my recommendation is whole-hearted if Memphis Jones is included. We were offered a choice of where to stop on the tour the first time but the past weekend it was decided for us. Unfortunate since almost everyone on the bus had already been to Sun Studios at least once. Also- we were not on the same bus. It seemed that the a/c did not work well so most of the time we were uncomfortably hot.

having taken this tour once before, i was disappointed in this version. The musician was not as good as the previous. All in all, OK, but just not great.
