I really enjoyed the extended tour. Sun Studio was well worth the stop. I learned a lot about the city and music history. Ping was fantastic as our tour guide - knowledgeable, talented and fun! Howard was an excellent bus driver - he maneuvered through many narrow streets and kept us on track. I absolutely loved my time in Memphis and recommend this tour to everyone visiting the city for the first time. Thank you! :)

The tour was both entertaining & enlightening. We learned a lot about the history of Memphis music, the influences on music, & really enjoyed ourselves in the process. Excellent time & money well spent.

We took the Mojo tour in April 2011 with Memphis Jones and cannot say enough about how amazing he was. He knew so much about Memphis music and we know he told us things we would never hear on other tours. Do yourself a favor and take this tour and hope you get Memphis Jones as your guide.

My friend Anne and I were visiting from Phoenix, AZ and I thought it would be a fun gift for a early birthday present. She truly enjoyed it, it wasn't really scary but good stories and she didn't want nightmares and glad no one would jump out and scare us. I enjoyed it for its history. We had a good tour guide.

We went on the "Mojo" Backbeat tour and had a super great time! This tour was high-energy with one of the best tour guides ever. He was fantastic!! We were informed about places of interest in Memphis and how rhythm & blues & rock 'n roll got its beginning. Plus, our guide played the guitar while singing a variety of songs, including "Blue Suede Shoes" & "When The Saints Go Marching In." Singing along & participation with shakers or tambourines made this a fun time. Everyone was laughing, singing, and shake, shake, shaking!!!

Our tour guide was very friendly,knowldegeable and provided a great history lesson of all of our stops. She of course also provided considerable information about the sightings and experiences of paranormal activity. While we did not see any ghosts on our tour (though I'm not really sure we expected to), the folklore and walk around the city were both fun and interesting.

The performer showed up late, delaying the tour a little. He also had not amplification until the tour reached Sun Studios. After that, it was better. Also, the bus a/c system poured about a gallon of cold condensation on those sitting in front and behind it. But other than that, the music was great and the tour was good.

The tour focused almost entirely on where musical events happened and where musicians lived and worked. We drove by the zoo, but this was not pointed out. We drove by the art museum, but this was not pointed out. As long as persons know beforehand what kind of tour it is, it would be OK.

The musician was outstanding.

As visitors of Memphis, we expected the "MOJO Tour: the Best of Memphis" to tell about the town with some music. Basically, it was just a drive around with music but almost no information about what we were seeing. The young musician just offered some comments about music and Elvis Presley. While his music was intertaining, we could hardley hear what he was saying. We learned virtually nothing about the city. Sorry, but we were disappointed. It would be helpful if you made it very clear in advance exactly what is offered during the MOJO Tour. That would help customers from being surprised and disappointed in the presentation. Thanks for your consideration.

After reading the rave reviews, maybe we just expected too much. For starters, it was so hot you could barely breathe on the bus. The backs of our shorts were completely soaked when we got off. The entertainer (I think his name was Ping) was very good, but there just seemed to be a lot of riding with very little actual "sight-seeing" involved. Plus there was a lengthy souvenir stop at Sun Studio, which we had already toured. For us it simply did not live up to the hype and we probably would not recommend it to friends visiting Memphis.

We really enjoyed the ghost walk. Our tour guide, Morgan, was very enthusiastic and seemed to enjoy her job. The history included was very interesting. We'd definitely book another walk on our next visit to Memphis.

Was traveling with my brother and parents who are in their 70's. We all enjoyed the tour very much. Memphis Jones is quite the entertainer.

My girlfriend and I were visiting Memphis for a 3 day get away. Of all of the things we did, the Extended Mojo Tour is the one thing we have told everyone to do if you visit. Memphis Jones is amazing. He is a very talented musician, he is funny, and he knows a lot about the history of Memphis and Music. We will be back to do the tour again.

Our guide was not only informative but soooo entertaining. I had a much better appreciation of the city, the artists spawned there and would hightly recommend doing this tour first. The knowledge gained and the entertainment was one of the high points of our trip. The overview of history of the city was priceless.
