We took this tour to get an overview of Memphis and the music scene from a historical point. We learned about and saw places that were influential in the early days of rock and roll that we just wculdn't learn from a guidebook. We had a fantastic time with Memphis Jones and the Mojo Music Tour! We learned a bit about the musical heritage and history of Memphis all while singing songs and keeping the beat with our tambourines and shakers. Memphis is very personable with a quirky sense of humor that plays well across all ages. A great introduction to the city of Memphis!

A combination of history, hotspots, and most of all entertainment!

Our family's favorite part of our Memphis trip was the BackBeat Mojo Bus Tour. (Our trip also included Graceland, Rock & Soul Museum, Gibson Guitar Factory and Peabody Ducks.) We are a family with four children, ages 9 - 17. Our tour guide/musician, Memphis Jones, was energetic, funny, talented and informative. If you want a fun and entertaining tour, we highly recommend you take the Mojo Bus.

Husband and I both enjoyed the music, enthusiasm of Memphis Jones, and the historical information he provided. It was a fun, informative, lively way to spend some time in Memphis.

Would definitely recommend to all friends traveling to Memphis.

Worth the money, entertaining and fun..

Gary the tour guide had so much first hand knowledge of the Memphis music scene. It was amazing. We saw many interesting places I probably would have never taken the time to see on my own. You don't get much time to see some of the sights that are being discussed and Gary sometimes lost track of where we were. My teenage daughter did lose interest due to the vast amount of information Gary dispersed. Overall, it was a great experience and I wish the tour could have been longer.

Our family enjoyed every moment of our tour! We learned a lot of local tidbits and saw sights that we would never have known about if it weren't for the tour. Our guide was great! The tour was both of our boys' (14 & 11 y/o) favorite thing on our entire trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, the fun music and great stories. Unfortunately the regular bus was out of commission since the air conditioning died. But the substitute bus was okay -- and had AC, super important since the temp was about 103. Just wished we had more time in Memphis so we could have gone back to some of the sights we saw on Mojo. It was a terrific overview.

This was a good tour, but I would have liked if we had visited all the locations that were listed in the advertisement...although we didn't, I would still recommend the tour. The tour guide, Memphis Jones, was hilarious!
