The Mojo Tour is fantastic and lots of fun.

Singer was great, but would have enjoyed more. She could have been on bus for return trip.

Tour guide did an excellent job of mixing facts with humor. Highly entertaining with good information. Sun Studio's add on was also very good.

I went on this tour hoping to enjoy my night out with my husband and mother-in-law. Everything went fine and we were all enjoying ourselves, until our tour guide stopped us outside the Lorriane Motel. We thought this would be an interesting stop because we did not know much about the area and did not realize how close James Earl Ray actually was when he fired upon Martin Luther King. It was a nice little side trip in our "haunted" stops until our tour guide explained that James Earl Ray got all the way to Heathrow Airport, outside of the US before he was caught. She said, and I quote, "We all know, Memphis Police Suck". This comment really struck me. First of all, nothing that happened that day was any officers fault, not to mention, this was the 1960s! Secondly, what made it even worse, we wouldn't have been able to walk up and down the dark streets and alleys of downtown Memphis had there not been are strong police presence. The entire livelihood of the tour is based on the safety the Memphis Police bring to the entire city of Memphis. Once this comment left the guide's mouth, we left. We did not finish the tour. I was entirely too disgusted to even enjoy the rest of my night. Mind you, my husband who went on the tour as well, is a Memphis Police Officer. We were all truly hurt my the comment, especially my husband, who tries his hardest everyday to be a good police officer and courteous to all the citizens, while still effectively doing his job to protect the city and its citizens. I hope that in the future such comments are left out, because you never know who is in your audience.

Our host Nancy Apple was fabulous and made the tour interactive and fun! She provided so much insight and shared personal stories re: the Memphis music scene. My children (13yo & 3yo)said it was the best tour they have ever taken. My husband and I agree.

Both informative and entertaining -- enthusiastic tour guide sang, played and talked throughout a 1 1/2 hour tour of the downtown Memphis area. Fellow tourists joined in providing a little rhythm in a way that didn't make anybody uncomfortable. We tagged on a guided tour of Sun Studio - well worth it if you have the extra time.

If you are in the Middle South, or on the NATCHEZ TRACE PARKWAY, please do yourself a favor and see MEMPHIS with BACKBEAT TOURS!! With BRANDON leading us around, this is probably the best city tour in the USA .. .. We hit all the major sights with BRANDON crooning the great music that has passed through Memphis .. .. And, do yourself a favor and book the SUN STUDIO TOUR as well and stand in the footsteps of the greats .. ..

We are from here and thought it was great.. The tour is very entertaining and fun.. Joining in and lots of music and laughs! Glad we went, it had been recommended to us.

Kathryn was the best guide we have ever had on a tour. We really enjoyed her voice and her sweet demeanor. Would recommend tour to anyone going to Memphis.

Very entertaining for all ages. Tour guide and driver were very polite and informative. Was definitely the best 1 1/2 hour of our Memphis trip.

Being new to Memphis, I've been interested in learning what makes this place tick. When some friends came to visit last fall, I discovered the Mojo Music Tour and we loved it. Recently another friend came to town and this tour was first on my list of things to do. I have had two entertainer/tourguides (1st-man; 2nd-woman) and each one approached the tour from a little different angle. I preferred the first one because he pointed out more of the sites we passed, and he actually had known Sam Phillips, Rufus Thomas and other greats. The concept of the tour is delightful, and I will continue to take my out-of-town guests on it because it gives a good overview of Memphis music history in a unique way.

Our tour guide was a lot of fun and gave interesting history of Memphis which we would never known about. I think it would of been a little more fun if it was a little later in the day. Had a great time singing and keeping the beat. Recommendation: Bring lots of friends that are willing to "get with the program" Those on the bus that did had a great time; those who didn't dragged the rest of us down. Go for it!!!!!!

This tour was not only highly informative but also great fun. Brandon, who was the tour leader, was not only very good muscially but also extremely knowledgeable. Brandon kept the fun going with the group throughout the tour and his sense of humour was key to this. His regular use of y'all was fascinating to someone from the other side of the pond! I can highly recommend this tour.

The tour guide was fantastic. So was the tour. Get a great historical background of the city and see many things you probably wouldn't see on your trip. At one point you get to go to the top of a hotel and get a magnificent view of the Mississippi. THis is an absolute must if you are going to Memphis
