Surprise 60th birthday for wife.

| My wife has always wanted to go to Venice for a gondolla ride. Needless to say, that was not going to happen, especially since the dollor is in the tank. So, I got the idea to see if there were any authentic gondolas in the US. Authentic Venetian gondolas are very hard to find in the USA. There are a few on the west coast and few on the east coast and thankfully Robert's in Huntsville, Al. For my wife, she felt that it was a dream come true. I would highly reccommend a trip to Huntsville for that very special date. The Bridge Street Town Center has a hotel which is very convenent for a weekend get away. And, Robert makes the date very special. So you want to pop the question, this is the place to do it. | ||||||

| My boyfriend and I took a night timegondola cruise and were very impressed. It did not feel like we were in Alabama at all. My boyfriend proposed on the gondola near the waterfalls of Bridge Street and it was a picturesque marriage proposal. Very nice! | ||||||

| I booked this as a surprise for my wife on our 25th anniversary. We were greeted by Robert, who made a point of wishing us Happy Anniversary. After a brief introduction of the company and the traditions of the gondola, he was quiet and unobtrusive. When asked about this or that, he would give a 2-3 minute explanation, then be quiet again to let us enjoy the ride. It was worth every penny for the tour. | ||||||

| My husband booked a gondola ride for us as a surprise to me on our monthly date night. We had a bottle of wine, which Roberto opened for us when we got down to the boat. He put a big, warm blanket over us, and we were very comfortable in our seat. He stood behind us to steer the boat, and that made it not so "in your face" while sharing the space with another person. He told us some history about his boat, which was fascinating, and he didn't talk too much. It was very enjoyable and definitely something unique to do on a date. The only reason I didn't give this an "enthusiatically recommended" rating is because of the location. Not that Bridge Street isn't pretty, but it would be nice if they did something to the island to make it prettier, for example, or to make sure the lake was more full. It seemed like the water level was low, which made the muddy bottom visible in a couple of places and made the water lines on the walls stick out. All in all, though, the gondola ride and Roberto were fabuous! | ||||||

| I had a great time on the ride the man was extremely nice and treated us with great care. During the ride the views are spectacular and something I will remember for the rest of my life. It is well worth the money and I would do it again if I ever get the chance! | ||||||

| My wife and I chose to do something a little different for our anniversary so we thought we would try the gondola ride out. It was a very unique experience and something I would strongly recommend for any couple. Its a nice change of pace from a simple dinner and a movie date. | ||||||

| 1. It is a little tacky to have "tips appreciated" at eye level when you sit in the gondola. I mean, we just paid $$ to ride, I think that should be enough for your time. 2. I paid $7.00 for a picture and cardboard frame?!?! What was I thinking when I did that? By the description of the photograph, I thought I would get a very nice photograph taken from across the water and received a custom picture frame. Not a cardboard folding frame -- yuck. The pictures taken with my camera were just as good, if not better. I would never do that again. What a waste of money. 3. Roberto was very nice and kind to talk to. 4. Water had strange lumps floating in it. 5. Overall, good experience. | ||||||

| I highly reccomend la bella gondola's. They are extremely professional and went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable experiance.I had made the mistake of scheduling our ride in the wrong month, showed up early and they told my wife that it was there mistake, when they had done nothing wrong! And on top of that they through in a paddle boat ride so my daughter would be entertained. I highly reccomend them and look forward to doing business again! | ||||||

Making sure we were comfortable, the champagne chilled, the mood was romantic, and his service was the perfect combination of unobtrusive attendant and entertainingly helpful tour guide.
