Our seven year old was as thrilled as we adults were with the birds he loves thanks to "Wild Kratts" TV show. Monty did a great job explaining and then demonstrating the skill, uniqueness, and flight gymnastics of the various birds. Highlight was the arrival of three bald eagles at the "Roadkill Cafe." They came for a late lunch and we captured numerous pictures. The two hour tour was tremendous. We will return again when our little fellow is a little older! Best $54 spent on vacation (3 adults, 1 child). |

My family absolutely loved the tour, very interesting, fun, and informative. We were blessed to see an eagle flying overhead with vultures and watch the release of a turkey vulture. Exceptionally well done by all the staff! |

There is nothing not to like about a trip to the Center For Birds of Prey. Beautiful, quirky, strange, dignified, sweet are just a few of the adjectives that apply...and the human caretakers are pretty wonderful, patient, and knowledgeable too. Our family's ages ranged from 9 to 69. Everyone of us, including the lone teenager, had a good time. |

This was an excellent educational experience. Seeing the birds up close was so wonderful. The grounds are very pleasant to walk around. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions. The four flight demonstrations were amazing. The owl area was our favorite, especially seeing the baby owls.
We were very fortunate with cool, sunny March weather - no bugs! |

It was a wonderful experience. It was the second time I have been there. We went back because the first time we went it was very cold and we were too frozen to walk around & see all the birds. This time it was a perfect day so there were lots of people and I was hoping they were going to break us in to 2 groups but they didn't and it was a little difficult to get everyone around so they could hear the guide and, more importantly, see in the cages to see what she was explaining. She did a great job. And the flight demo is soooo impressive! Highly recommend this as it is very informative and the birds are beautiful! |

A couple of years ago, my daughter and I visited for a similar tour. This time we returned, taking my 18 year old son. We learned different things and saw two different birds during the flight exhibition. Can't wait to take my husband the next time we're in town visiting. |

I took my daughter and 4 granddaughters and everyone learned many new facts about birds. It was particularly gripping for my 8 year old granddaughter. |

This was an great experience for both of us! The staff is enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and they are passionate about sharing their love of the birds housed at the Center. The caged bird displays are great, but the best part is the opportunity to see the birds interact with the handlers while flying freely in such close proximity to a group of people. It was exhilarating to watch them swoop and soar literally inches above one's head. We would definitely recommend the Center as a great place to visit. |

You don't get up close to these birds of prey normally. That alone is worth the inexpensive admission. The guide is great, especially on questions. The flight show is greatly entertaining, these birds really perform. FYI, there is a great restaurant 5 minutes away, the Seewee. It is at the corner of Sewwee Road and US 17 were you turn off. Best oysters I have eaten in my 62 years! Don't let the exterior appearance turn you off. They have a facebook page. |

These people are doing great things, and it is obvious that they care a great deal for the animals (birds) in their custody. Their purpose is altruistic, and of benefit to all mankind. They deserve recognition and support. The education provided during the tour was profound, and the demonstrations by the birds themselves are truly amazing. I would heartily recommend this to anyone living near or visiting Charleston! |

We arrived a bit early for the tour, right after the center opened and had a chance to visit with some of the birds the guides brought out. The tour of the enclosures and information provided was well done, entertaining but also informative. The bird flight demonstrations were fascinating. A great place with a dedicated young staff. |
