Haunted Charleston Walking Tour

We had decided to spend a day/night in Charleston after our cruise ended and took the ghost tour offered by Black Cat tours. The tour was with a small group and we thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with our host and group while on the walking tour of Charleston. Our host was very much into the topic and her details and historical knowlege of Charleston led to some very interesting stories. We had fun and I am glad that we did the tour. Charleston is a very nice city to visit. I am glad we stayed on and did this tour.

My whole goal was to provide my older teenage kids with a fun activity that MIGHT scare them!! We had a great time -- the tour was wonderful and Rebel did such a great job with both the tour/stories and even took time to lead us back to our car at the end -- the kids talked NONstop on the way back to our hotel AND then my 13/14 year old girls asked to sleep with me because they were "freaked out"!! So while we didn't see any ghosts per se -- we were thrilled with this activity and my kids (13 - 19) said they'd LOVE to go again!!!!!! Thanks, Rebel!!!!!!!

This was our first ghost tour experience and we loved every minute of it. Rebel has a very theatrical way of telling each and every story which kept our family hanging on her every word. As a paying customer, you can tell the difference between guides who are just there for the money and the ones who really LOVE their work. Rebel is one of those rare guides whos passion showes through and makes the experience all the more realistic and fascinating. We hope she's doing this tour for a very long time because we plan on making this a yearly tradition. We really can't say enough great things about Black Cat Tours. Rebel Sinclair was very personable, knowledgeable and throughly enjoyable. This tour was the best ghost tour my wife and I have ever done and highly recommend it to anyone considering doing such a tour. It was completely accessible (my wife uses a power scooter) and Rebel had no problem taking this into consideration.

Black Cat tours was the real deal. The tour wasn't to scare, but to inform. My wife and I have been on the tour twice now. Once on our own and once with our two sons 19 and 21 and each of us really enjoyed the tour. Rebel gives great background information and her passion for the tour shows. I highly recomend this tour to anyone.

Very entertaining and engaging. Not your wacky, out there ghost stories, rather a learned look at the paranormal possibilities of a very old city.

My husband and I were in Charleston on vacation and after doing some research on the haunted walking tours I am very glad that we chose Black Cat Tours. Rebel is a great tour guide and she is very knowledgeable in Charleston history and folklore as well as other areas of the supernatural. My husband and I lucked out because we were the only ones book for the tour that night and it was a great experience. As we walked we encountered other tours that were much larger than ours and the one thing I noticed is that the other tour guides seemed rehearsed and on a script. They also moved at a much quicker pace than we did like they had to keep to a strict schedule. Rebel was much more relaxed and very comfortable walking, talking, and telling the stories and the history that went with the different locations along the tour. You can also tell she really enjoys sharing the knowledge she has gathered while researching her books and that she has a passion for Charleston. Near the end of the tour we had a pushy local stop us and start telling Rebel how to do different aspects of her job and at one point even reaching out to adjust her lantern without permission. Rebel very politely put him in his place and we continued on with our tour. After that incident she tried to apologize but there was no need because he was rude and completely out of line. Rebel did a fantastic job maintaining her composure and professionalism while dealing with him. Besides he annoyed us too. Overall the experience was a great one the only down side being the pushy local. If you want to take a tour where the person sharing the stories and history really has a passion for it you need to take Black Cat Tours. The next time we are in the area we will be taking the Wicked Charleston tour.
