Interesting and thought provoking!

The tour guide was nice, friendly, and very into the paranormal which was great. Visited several area's that had great stories, but then the paranormal stuff started up more and more. Great, it is a ghost tour but kinda felt like she was trying to sell the idea of ghost as well as telling the stories and that is disappointing. I mean generally if you book a ghost tour you have at least an in cling that they might be real or you would be booking a historical walk and not a ghost tour. Raven I think her name is, the guide is very into and emotional about her tour which certainly added to the experience. But she would go into other stories that didn't happen at the location we were at and that didn't do it for me. i wish there had been a little more to it. the walk was short and only a little over 60mins not the 90 I thought we had booked. To be honest at the end I felt like it was still unfinished, like that there should have been more. If I had to rate it against other ghost tours I have taken then it would not rate well, but perhaps they were just more interesting area's. If she added more suspence rather then just stating the short version of the stories I would have liked it better I think. But the guide was nice overall. I think too, that the reviews perhaps had my expections kind of high. So maybe that to is why it was not as satisfying as I had hoped. Suggestion to the guide, change your tour route so that you don't keep running into the other ghost tour groups. That was off putting that we consistantly had to wait for other groups to clear getting our info outside of the area the event happened because the other group had beat us there. A change in the route would likely alleviate that issue. Details about famous happenings on the streets might also make the longer walks not seem so long.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and it is the best of several ghost tours we have taken earlier (Stanley Hotel, St. Augustine). Rebel is an exceptional story teller.

Rebel combines her knowledge of history and the supernatural to create a great tour recounting several of Charleston's mysteries. She takes a genuine interest in her tour participants, taking the time to answer questions and expand on her stories. My 16 year old daughter, not an easy one to please, had a great time and wants to revisit some of the sites on the tour!

We had a party of five and were combined with another family. I don't know how the other family responded, but the women in our group absolutely loved the entire tour. The two men in our group enjoyed the story telling, but were disappointed that our guide did not terrify us at every turn. I personally felt our guide had a wonderful knowledge of the city's history, was animated and engaging. The cemeteries and graveyards were locked up at night, but our party went back the next day and spent several more hours looking up the headstones related to the ghost tales. The tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Charleston and I would love to take one of our guides other tours the next time I visit.

Tour was well researched and thought out. Presentation was enthusiastic and even somewhat emotional at times. Our 13 yr.old granddaughter absolutely loved it. She's still talking about it. She has memorized all of Rebel's stories.

Rebel Sinclair was great. Very knowledgable about what she was talking about. She seemed to really enjoy what she was doing. Also, i enjoyed the small group setting.

Very funny stories, nice walk through less touristy parts of downtown Charleston. History with a sense of humor and an irreverent narrator.

We recently went on the Haunted Charleston tour with Rebel as our guide. She made the tour interesting and informative. Her enthusiasm about supernatural research was evident, and she provided a nice mix of storytelling and background info. The tour was exactly as promised--a small group, no whining kids, and plenty of fun. One of the tour members who came with us was quite chatty, and Rebel did a great job of being friendly and tolerant without letting things get off track. Everyone in our group had a great time and the other people seemed like they did too. I strongly recommend this tour.

What a great tour. I was skeptical at first since some guy trying to sell us carriage ride tickets told us about this tour. He told us that the two people that ran the tour were local authors who really were knowledgeable about their stuff. I never regreted booking our tour. Our attention was peaked the entire time. I would highly recommend BlackCat Tours.

We had decided to spend a day/night in Charleston after our cruise ended and took the ghost tour offered by Black Cat tours. The tour was with a small group and we thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with our host and group while on the walking tour of Charleston. Our host was very much into the topic and her details and historical knowlege of Charleston led to some very interesting stories. We had fun and I am glad that we did the tour. Charleston is a very nice city to visit. I am glad we stayed on and did this tour.

My whole goal was to provide my older teenage kids with a fun activity that MIGHT scare them!! We had a great time -- the tour was wonderful and Rebel did such a great job with both the tour/stories and even took time to lead us back to our car at the end -- the kids talked NONstop on the way back to our hotel AND then my 13/14 year old girls asked to sleep with me because they were "freaked out"!! So while we didn't see any ghosts per se -- we were thrilled with this activity and my kids (13 - 19) said they'd LOVE to go again!!!!!! Thanks, Rebel!!!!!!!
