good tour very intersting information

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. While not Haunted house scary, it gives spooky Charleston history. We really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed this tour company. They are great story tellers and were the only guides in costumes and lanterns that I saw throughout the evening (we saw about 5 other groups). The one thing I was surprised about in the Haunted Tour was it had a lot to do with the Physics of paranormal activities and less about the stories in Charleston. I think the Wicked Tour is more what I was looking for, but this is a great company and I would be willing to try their Wicked Tour. Alex

We walked through Charleston @ nite, while hearing strange stories of the occult. I'm not a believer so I wasn't impressed with that. Not spooky if that's what you expect. Some historical info was interesting if you didn't know before. Not a bad tour, not a great tour. about what I expected

The tour was e perfect length. The group was small compared to all the other ghost tours we saw which was very nice. The stories were interesting and she had cool artifacts to go along with them. I'd highly recommend it to any one who is interested in charleston history and haunts!

It revealed the dark side of chucktown.

This tour is centered on the mystic nature of the afterlife as much as local ghost stories. We got three or four good ghost stories, but the rest of our time was spent on numerology, end of times ideology, witchcraft, magic, etc. Somehow Rebel managed to tie them all back to Charleston or figures in local history! I'm quite certain that a couple of our tour companions were much more in touch with and had made the spirit world part of their life, and though we certainly didn't share the same views with them, their attendance added to the fun as their agreement with and responses to Rebel's comments kept things moving. If you go to something like this expecting to be scared out your wits, or unprepared to hit the bullshit button in your mind now and then and enjoy it for what it is (entertainment), then you are not going to have any fun. Good part: Rebel is a former tour leader one of the larger tourist driven ghost tours so she has that part down, as well as adding her own flair which includes guiding the tour by lamp light, and playing (real or not) the part of magic user (good witch?). Bad part: would have loved a couple more local ghost stories next to the spot they occured instead of generalities about the spiritworld. Overall a fun night that we still are talking, discussing, and laughing about 2 weeks later.

If I was able, I would do the same tour all over again. Mark is personable and really knows his history. It's nice to be able to get a glimpse of the darker side that we all wonder about.Keep doing what you are doing!

My wife and I enjoyed the tour, but was not a "traditional" ghost tour. Our guide was energetic and entertaining but the tour was more about Freemasons and conspiracy theory, superstition, and the aristocracy of old and present day Charleston with a bit of a political agenda on the side. We were entertained but just wasn't what we were expecting or had experienced with other tours.

The guide was knowledgeable, passionate, and unique. Highly recommended for those wanting a different take on Charleston.

We enjoyed our ghost tour. Rebel (our guide) was so knowledgeable about the area and time periods. We highly recommend this tour.

tour guide was good, but would get sidtracked about UFOs and NASA. Entertaining though

Rebel was a great guide through the city taking us to the dark and interesting places. The comentary was not the same old brochure.

BEST TOUR in Charleston!!!! Mark was very knowledgeable and funny too! If you're a bit of a prude, this tour is not for you. However, if you're cool, you will love it. I will probably take this same tour again on my next visit. I wish Mark gave more tours, he is so talented! I purchased both of his books, Wicked Charleston. I would strongly recommend purchasing both books - VERY entertaining and well written!!!

The tour was fun and I learned a lot about Charleston. Rebel was very knowledgeable, but was a bit difficult to hear. Would defiantly recommend this tour.
