We definitely recommend this tour for those visiting Charleston who want to learn more about the other side of Charleston's history. The tour moves throughout the city and lets you visit sites where "odd" occurrences have occurred in the past. The tour leaders are very informative and know their history well. They are open to any questions and make the tour fun as well as educational.

We took the Haunted Tour and the Wicked Tour. Both were highly entertaining. Our guides really did their homework--the stories they told were definitely ones you wouldn't hear on the regular visitor tours. Guides had great sense of humor and encouraged participation in the fun.

We enjoyed our evening walking tour. Our guide was very informative and very good at giving members a good tour of "hot spots", as well as a good deal of history. Her objective appeared to be inform, rather than scare, and I appreciated that. Leave the ghosts and ghouls who jump out at you in the carnival funhouses, because I don't think they have a place in a tour like this one. I believe we all have experiences we can't explain or justify, and often think others will think we are "crazy" if we tell them about it. Our guide was open about her own experiences, as well as explaining things that had occurred to others known to her, and encouraged any of us to talk about any experiences we may have had. I would recommend this tour to any one I know who is going to Charleston. It was worth our time.

my wife and I love Charleston and have visited a few times now. we always try to squeeze in a ghost tour. the tour was very good but the leader was awesome. I loved her insight and passion. best ghost tour we have had by far.

Rebel was a great tour guide. Very informative and so very nice. Would definitely recommend this tour to everyone. There are so many ghost tours to chose from. My hotel recommended a different company however, after reviewing brochures, I decided to chose black cat tours because the person who owns the company is the person who does the tour. I knew she would be good because she has her name on the line, not just any person doing the job. She believes in her work and it shows. Thanks, Rebel! Rebel was the best! You could tell she was a writer and artist, her story telling was so great, that I felt we were entertained the entire time we were on the tour. I was so glad we selected this tour.

This was my first downtown tour of Charleston and I must say it was the best so far. My guide was VERY knowledgeable of the history of the area and was a superb storyteller. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone in the Charleston area.

We had a lovely guide who seemed to enjoy her job. The speil is too scripted and memorized. It was as if she were reading it from a page, except now, having told the same story over and over, remembered it. Also, spoke to fast to understand some of what she was saying.

I'm a local but learned a few things about the darker and dirtier side of Charleston that I did not know. I would recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning something about the city not found on your usual walking tour.

If you are local and want an awesome thing to do in Charleston, Go on this tour. We went places in Charleston I have never noticed before and our guide was highly educated on many ghost stories here in town. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone.
