Romantic Sunset Starlight and Full Moon Tour

I wouldn't call this a "romantic" oppourtunity, but we were pleasantly surprised at how fun it was! We love Key West and this is a little different side to what people typically encounter. We liked going at night and saw some awesome marine life. Although we kayak frequently, you wouldn't need to know how for this trip. We would both highly recommend it......great for older kids too.

Definitely include this on your TO DO List for Key West - even if that list is super short. Loved every minute of our tour and were truly fascinated by the sealife we not only saw but were able to touch. Great upper body workout too - bonus.

We thoroughly enjoyed the kayak tour. We saw a great variety of sea creatures and got to hold them as well. It was an amazing experience!

The brochure could not capture into words the experience on the water. Our guide, James, was both excellent at explaining our surroundings and navigation, as well as keeping all 11 of us safe. To some, this kayaking trip may seem pedestrian, but it was quite a joyful experience to kayak through the mangroves and the bay. The sunset was fantastic, the nighttime kayaking was by far the best experience. With the supplied head lamps. we were kayaking into the night and watching bioluminescent bacteria respond to our movements.

No mosquitos, no hard paddling, just lots of sea birds at the island rookery while the sunset followed by sealife and then a mangrove maze in the dark, spotting the eyes of shrimp and lobster. The photoluminescence was so cool. Go do it!

Even though in the water we only saw, shrimp, starfish and a jellyfish, this was a fantastic kayak trip. Going at night was such a thrill. The rookery was wonderful. Seeing all those birds come in to roost was worth the trip.

Chad was a great guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. Did not push us. Let us go our own speed. Told us about all the sea creatures we saw and let us hold them if we wanted. It was great being able to kayak in the light, see the sunset, and do more in the moonlight. Were able to see the luminescence in the water after dark. What a great adventure!!

You'd never know what was underneath you in the water until Chad pulls up the most wonderful "critters" from the bottom of the bay...All different kinds of sea creatures to see and touch. We also enjoyed seeing all the feathered friends above the water that are roosting in the trees at sunset...and speaking of the sunset...a lovely view from sea level. Be prepared to get a little wet from paddle drips.

I own a home on a lake, so I timed my kayak tour for when there would be a full moon. Moonlight on water is just awesome. Fortunately the weather cooperated, and our tour was not only informative, but beautiful. The tour guide was mindful of the different levels of experience of the kayakers, and promoted safety the whole time. I would recommend to anyone except the MOST experienced.

We saw hermit crab, slugs, octopus, squid and various other fish life---up close like you have never experienced before. Also liked being out during the moonlight.
