We had a excellent time kayaking. Educational, fun, challenging, and a good value of our vacation money.

This kayak trip was not something we could have done on our own and paddling at night through the mangroves was a treat. However, there were 10 kayaks in our group and that was too many to easily hear our guide. He was knowledgeable but should have waited for all of us to catch up or else repeat his words. Because of low water, more than once we had to follow in single file which made it difficult to hear. Also, our guide could have given clearer directions. In particular, he should have warned the first kayakers into the mangrove forest where the trail went so that they didn't end up in a deadend and then we had to wait for them to find their way back. By the time we got to the bioluminescence part, our time was running late and so I didn't get a chance to see it. However, I'm glad we made the trip.

The Blue Planet Boca Chica tour was amazing! It was fun and educational. Definitely the highlight of my trip to Key West. I would highly recommend the excursion to anyone.

I enjoyed every minute of my adventure with our guide....and this is my second time I've completed this adventure with Blue Planet Kayak Tours. I plan on doing this again when I'm back in Key West. Keep up the Great Work!!!!

navigating mangroves was really fun

After getting over the initial fears of being first time kayaker's, we had a great time. We saw a couple of rays and other sea life. The tour company was great, Chris our guide answered any question the group had about the area and the things we saw. Next time we will try the night tour, since we were told that some sea life will hide during the day to avoid the sun.

We were able to see the Florida Keys and Key West from a different prospective. It is fun informative and great exercise.

My sister and I did the sunset tour--not so romantic for us, but a great time to explore. James was our guide--he knew so much about the sea creatures in the water (he pulled up and showed us at least a dozen marine invertebrates)----and he was so interesting and full of information. We also paddled around "bird island" which hosts literally hundreds of large sea birds, e.g. herons, cormorants, pelicans, ibis. The sunset was beautiful and then a full moon rose as we paddled with headlamps amongst the mangroves. Highly recommended and the high point of our stay in the keys.

We had a great time. Our guide James was awesome. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He kept the tour fun and educational! He had a great eye for the wildlife and we saw so many things. It was truly a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

The trip was great and the guide was the best part. Weather was wonderful and enjoyed the use of the tandem kayak for my husband and myself. That way he could take photos and I could paddle. The guide showed us lots of marine life and most of it we were able to hold before releasing back to its habitat. It was great to see for the first time bioluminescent marine bacteria. We would recommend this trip for anyone.

Chad our guide was very knowledgeable and gave many interesting facts about the wildlife and vegetation. Going through the mangroves in the light and after dark was really cool!

Blue Planet Kayak offers a fantastic guided kayak adventure It is an easy paddle and our guide James was so knowledgeable and fun. He showed us many wonderful undersea creatures. The highlight of our paddle was seeing four Spotted Eagle Rays. This kayak adventuret was the highlight of our trip and it was so wonderful to see this magical and fascinating area.

The trip was awesome from start to finish-the guide knew a lot about the area and was able to track down lots of animals and plants that I had never seen in the wild. I liked that the tour group was small and that the evening tour was the only activity of its kind-this tour was my favorite part of our week long trip to Key west and the thing I have talked about the most since our return home!

This was wonderful. Not for people looking for an energetic adventure, but great for new kayakers, and those who want a calm water adventure. We didn't see a ton of marine life, but our guide was fantastic. An entertaining, knowledgeable guide. He was really a perfect host.

We enjoined the kayak tour it was very educational combined with a lot of fun.
