A MUST GO! You will not regret it...

We took this tour with our guide James. There were only about 8 of us in total in the group. James was funny and very knowledgeable about marine life. We got to see and touch the following marine creatures -- sea slugs, jelly fish, a horseshoe crab, a conch, a polka-dot batfish and a few other creatures. If the guide asks you if you want to go to the sandbar, say YES! We got to anchor the kayaks and walk around the sandbar where we saw a baby hammerhead shark and a stingray - just AMAZING! Overall, it were an active, fun and education filled few hours out in the mangroves around key west.

did not see much marine life, a few birds. Not educational as far as the importance of conservation and preservation.

It was a nice experience, a beautiful day, and we had a respectful and knowledgeable guide. The downsize was that the cost was more than what had been printed in the brochure.

Fun and interesting!

I had a good time on this trip. Going through the mangroves was the coolest part. I wish we'd gotten to see a little more, but I wasn't disappointed. We did see sting rays, sea urchins, starfish, and several types of birds. The guide was very informative of the creatures, area, and culture. The kayaking wasn't strenuous at all. The sun was brutal.

First time kayaking and James our tour guide was very helpful. Had no problems paddling around and through the mangroves. James was very knowlegable about the Fl bay and the many animals that live in it. He had a very good eye and pulled the animals up for a close up view. Great trip!

Great for the novice

For someone who hasn't spent much time kayaking, it would be a great trip. It's a slow, leisurely trip through open water and then along mangroves. The guide did pick up sea life along the way and allow people to handle them. If you are expecting all mangrove tunnels, you will be dissapointed. It's really two hours once you get going, most of it spent along a shoreline looking for fish, birds and shells. I would recommend this trip for the novice.

Nice follow-up to daylight eco tour
Fri, Nov 11, 11   4:45 PM mitjan Male 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
My wife, our two adult kids and I did the daylight eco tour in March and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife and I then did the twilight / evening eco-tour in November and we are very pleased with that experience as well. The water was surprisingly warm and the highlight was the ability to see the bird mangrove before sunset. The group consisted of us and a couple from Los Angeles. Our guide was very knowledgeable, patient and laidback. The daylight eco-tour is a must recommendation for anyone who is interested in kayaking and nature. The sunset event is an excellent follow-up!

Excellent guide, very knowledgable of ocean critters, pleasant personality and professional manners. Nice ride for everyone, a great way to visit the Florida's Keys without the crowd and pollution etc of a popular tourist spot for vacation.

Great time - well worth money

The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to show us a wide variety of plant and animal life. Bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Tandem was best for us because spouse had much stronger upper body strength to get us through the long stretches. Very nice touch to pick us up at B&B. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone.

A Perfect Balance To The Hustle and Bustle
Tue, Mar 4  5:30 PM Milolaroux Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
This was our fourth trip to Key West and we were looking for an alternative to the Mallory Square sunset ritual. Our kayak tour was just the thing. It was a small, enthusiastic group of people and our guide, Katie was friendly and knowledgable. We got to see/touch/learn about all kinds of Key West marine life. All in all a great experience. We'll definitely do it again!

We thought the guide could have been more friendly. She was good with her knowledge of the area and what we came across. The family that was on our tour with three teenagers , all were very rude people and the kids kept running into us! I know you have no controll over rude people, but we will from now on try and get on tours with no kids and hopefully more friendly people. I would hope that you offer tours with no kids.
