Blue Planet Kayak Tours

WOW My husband and I, along with 4 other adults, went on this tour. It exceeded our expectations. James was our guide, and was a very knowledgable . We saw more "wild life" than what we expected. You will not be disappointed.

We really enjoyed the sunset kayaking tour. The tour guide showed us a variety of wonderful marine life, and we were able to interact with some of them. We saw octopus, starfish, sea urchin, lobster...just to name a few. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is adventurous and loves the outdoors!

We loved our trip. The guide was knowledgable and friendly. They picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. We saw all sorts of wildlife. Lots of fun!

Kayaking at sunset was fabulous. A beautiful tranquil evening. Highly recommend this activity fo anyone.

Great kayaking trip in the shallows and the mangroves. Learned a lot about all the life that is living right beneath the waters that I have traveled over so many times. Great all around trip for those that enjoy the nature side of key west as opposed to anything motorized. You will learn a lot and hopefully see a lot in the two hours you are out on the water. Be sure to bring sunscreen.....

This trip was fabulous and although I originally wanted to do the morning trip this sunset one was even better than I expected. Loads of fun, very educational and not difficult even for the biggest couch potato.

I took an evening venture and that turned out to be so cool! If you are going with someone, you have to option of going in a tandem kayak, which makes the paddling a little easier. Unfortunately, it was cloudy so we didn't get a pretty sunset and it did sprinkle in us, but no one minded. The water that we paddled was shallow (3-4" to 3' deep). We were provided with head lamps, so once it got dark we really got to see some awesome things like upside down jelly fish, sea snails, sea cucumbers, tree crabs, oysters that grow in the roots of mangrove trees, the fluorescent orange eyes of tiny shrimp, etc. This was my first time kayaking and I would definitely do this again!

My children and I wanted to go kayaking, so given the heat of July days this was a fantastic option. My 14-year-old son was a bit concerned about the "romantic" aspect of this tour, but Blue Planet assured me it was only romantic for those who wanted it to be! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Keys and the sea life -- he spotted a baby stingray and octopus, sea urchins, a sea cucumber and a large conch. The sunset was stunning, and it was really cool when we put the headlamps on for the return trip. I would highly recommend this excursion for someone who wants an out-of-the ordinary experience!

We had not kayaked before and this trip was just perfect for us. It was the right amount of time, the kayaking was not strenuous and made me comfortable as a beginner. Our guide was fantastic, we had an opportunity to learn about FL mangroves and wildlife, hotel pick-up was right on time. All in all....great experience and very easy to arrange.

Guy that met us for the ride to the kayaks never introduced himself nor did anyone else with Blue Planet. Our group had two groups of three that had serious issues handling their kayaks, so we took at least 30 minutes to actually begin our tour, then we had to paddle like hell. We spent MAYBE 5-10% of our time in the mangroves. Don't know if this is typical or we were trying to make up for lost time. Our guide was patient with the ones that were having trouble and showed us some really neat sea creatures. When we got back to the dock, no one said they hoped we enjoyed it, sorry for the problems, hope we come back. Nothing. After we left, we got a good laugh at how obsurdly dyfunctional the whole thing was.

We had a wonderful private tour as there were only the 2 of us booked at that time. Our guide James was very knowledgeable concerning the eco system and the environment of the Florida Keys. We experienced the wildlife and the natural beauty of the water. He was able to answer many of our questions and we would highly recommend taking this Kayak Tour

Fun and neat. Saw many things that you would not be able to see during the day. Definitely worth it!
