Blue Planet Kayak Tours

Chad was very knowledgeable and we were able to see a lot of great birds, fish and other sea creatures. Chad went out of his way to find sea creatures for us. The mangrove swamp was fascinating and moving through it after dark was a unique experience. The bioluminescence was something I had not seen before. Depending on the time of year there will be mosquitos. There were lots when were there. So be sure to get sprayed everywhere. We had lots of bites since we didn't do this.

What a great time . We saw things that we didnt expect to see and were able to touch creatures we will remember for quite some time. The guide was well informed and presented opportunities to experience the wildflife up close and personal.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the afternoon/early evening float. The float only consisted of 4 people total so we all could remain close to the guide and hear him. Information he provided about the local area was an added bonus. The float through the mangrove gave a feeling of being on an adventure. Plus, we saw fish, starfish, spider crabs and a stingray. The kayaks, paddles and vests provied were in great shape. An unexpected point of interest on the float was overhead -- the naval base was practicing manuvers with F18 fighter jets for about 20-30 minutes. Next time we are thinking about doing the late evening float which uses flashlights to see night life in the waters.

The guide is very friendly and knowledgeable. Learned much about the Keys and had a great time!

This was an excellent adventure where we felt daring yet safe and secure. Very exciting and informative, experienced things very few people will experience. Got excellent pictures to share and entice others to try this if they ever get to Key West! Our guide worked hard to show us all the environment had to offer.

I had a great time. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Both arms got there share of exercise, but they needed it. Observed many birds and got to hold a sea cucumber, starfish, and a couple other interesting creatures. The mangroves were very interesting as well. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed every minute of my adventure with our guide....and this is my second time I've completed this adventure with Blue Planet Kayak Tours. I plan on doing this again when I'm back in Key West. Keep up the Great Work!!!!

After getting over the initial fears of being first time kayaker's, we had a great time. We saw a couple of rays and other sea life. The tour company was great, Chris our guide answered any question the group had about the area and the things we saw. Next time we will try the night tour, since we were told that some sea life will hide during the day to avoid the sun.

We were able to see the Florida Keys and Key West from a different prospective. It is fun informative and great exercise.

We enjoined the kayak tour it was very educational combined with a lot of fun.

My wife and I enjoyed the kayak tour. It covered a lot of areas and was informative. the 2 1/2 hours flew by. Anyone looking for a relaxing, yet informative experience on the water should give this tour a try. We would certainly look to book another tour through blue planet.

We really enjoyed this trip - in fact it was our favorite thing we did in Key West. Our guide was very knowledgeable and took us to areas that we would never have seen without him. He also added a lot of context and detail about the wildlife and the area in general. We got to see lots of wildlife, the paddling was relatively easy, and my five year old just loved it. I highly recommend it.

Blue Planet is a nice kayak touring company. They provide pick-up/drop-off to their location (which is off of Key West, deep in Stock Island). The kayaks are in good condition, though they do have wear and tear. The guides are very nice and try hard to make the tour accessible to everyone. That might be the one downside of going on the general group tour - if you have kayaked before or if you catch on quickly, it can seem to move at a very slow pace. In general, though, I would recommend for most people.
