We did the evening tour with another couple, plus there was one single...I was really looking forward to kayaking under the stars and seeing some marine life...the kayaking was pretty good, and it was cool to don headlamps when it got dark...the main problem was that the guide that evening was the owner, Chad, and frankly he wasn't that into it...his attitude was "you're lucky to have me and to be here..." but he did nothing to make his paying customers feel lucky...there was really no marine life of any interest that night, other than sponges, and a type of clam...certainly not Chad's fault, but he did nothing to jazz it up...he spoke only if you were right near him, and made very little attempt at small talk...I think for $55.00/per person + $2.00 bkg fee, he could at least provide water (he doesn't): I would even provide a choice of beverages...in sum, I could have gotten almost as much renting a kayak for less money and doing a self-guided tour...I don't know where all the rave reviews came from; my friends felt the same as I...

Had a fantastic time with Jim - this guy knows his stuff. Kayaking through the mangroves was amazing. Jim has such an amazing eye and was pointing out such interesting things. Loved every minute of it. We drove down that morning from Key Largo as we decided to coordinate this trip with a visit to Key West. Well worth the time - great value. Certainly recommend. We had novices (me) and experienced guys within our groups of friends. It suited us all. An amazing experience.

Our tour guide provided us with a short demo of Kayaking technique and safety instructions. She was very knowledgeable about wildlife and various flora in the mangroves and took time to point out interesting wildlife. It was a very relaxing paddle and very informative. If you are looking for a leisurely paddle through the native flora and fauna, this is the tour for you

A relaxing unique experience to key west.

We had a lot of fun on this kayak tour. Our guide, James, was funny and informative. We were all impressed that he coud just scoop down into the water and bring up things to show us and tell us about. It was interesting to see and hold a conch, sea urchins, a donkey dung sea cucumber, and what I referred to as a "sea lugie". The paddle was easy to moderate, and it was interesting to navigate in the mangrove forest. We all really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone.

I'm a repeat customer. Totally fantastic voyage. The guides have been knowledgable and are enthusiastic in their work. The views are awesome and the wildlife is great. The waters have been calm and crystal clear. The guides find all sorts of wildlife and let you hold things, look into their eyes and learn about the environment. There is nothing quite like kayaking through the mangroves. HIGHLY recommended for all ages - took my mother last time and a friend who couldn't paddle this time - and all had a great time.

Our guide (James) was very knowledgeable of the marine life he found. He had a great sense of humor and a passion for what he does. I've always wanted to take a kayak tour and this did not disappoint. And having van service just topped an already amazing experience. Forget about the glass bottom boat, this is the best way to see marine life up close.

The trip was the perfect length in time and distance covered, the equipment was well maintained. It was fun to paddle through the narrow passages and see the local wildlife. Highly recommend the trip if you want to spend a couple of hours enjoying the mangrove environment

My husband, brother, sister-in-law and I all wanted to be together to see the bio-luminescence that we had heard about, but only thought we could see in Puerto Rico. We were so excited to learn that we could do this tour. Well we had the most knowledgeable, calm, guide "Chad" the owner of the touring company. He gave us great safety instructions on kayaking (my husband and I were novices) and showed us about the grasses of the Keys, the shrimp in the waters, several spiny lobsters, crabs, a starfish as we kayaked through the mangroves of the Keys. We saw the sunset and then when the sun went down we all donned headlamps..and retraced our steps to be able to see the bio-luminescence. We were all wowed!! This is a trip that I highly recommend to everyone who loves natures and is intellectually curious about our terrific marine life. The kayaking can be done by anyone at any level..

Our Guide, James, was extremely knowledgable about the marine life we encountered. We experienced five different sea creatures,i.e., slugs, jelly fish, etc. He even jumped off his kayak to recover a Queen Conch that we all held. The trip was an easy paddle as well. This is my second time on the same trip and I would highly recommend it.

what a beautiful evening we had.... definitely out of my comfort zone - darkness, kayaking, and creatures- oh my !! but loved it so much - i am glad my husband pushed me a little into going on the night tour. my daughter is coming down with friends for her 21st bday - first trip to key west - and i have already told her how wonderful it is. james was fantastic - you could hear and see how much he loved what he was doing - and how knowledgeable he was. also funny and patient with the group. thanks for the opportunity - definitely the highlight of our key west trip - and THAT'S saying something !!! :)

We learned a great deal about local marine life, and really enjoyed ourselves. Our guide was relaxed and although not everyone in our group had experience paddling, everyone was comfortable doing it. The scenery was gorgeous, the guide was knowledgable, and it seemed to go by so quickly. We would all highly recommend this tour.

I had a great time. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Both arms got there share of exercise, but they needed it. Observed many birds and got to hold a sea cucumber, starfish, and a couple other interesting creatures. The mangroves were very interesting as well. Highly recommended!
